But Zebina isn't that good of a player. He was a member of the best defence in Serie A last season, true, and he worked pretty well with Samuel and Chivu/Panucci unit wise, but if you ask me he was the weakest link in that Roma backline.

Greece was full of that kinda players but they still won the EURO... as long as we got the planner behind that best defense- Capello- than i have no problem having zebina in there.......

True, but unless we sign some quality defenders we'll never be as organised or as disciplined as the Greeks. Dellas is miles ahead of Zebina ATM and before Euro 2004 hardly anyone rated him, so we either need Zebina to step it up big time or a better player. The latter is the way to go imo.

Who the swear word is Combi? :) Do they mean Cambiasso? :undecide:

And btw, Davids was never going to return to Juve. It may have been a dream of mine and yours but after the way the management treated him do you really think he would risk a return? If I was him I would want to go to Inter and kick Juve's sorry arses.

i belevie the change of mentality and aproach of the coach is more important than the change of players.. who knows, with Capello, even Montero and Ferarra could be 'young' again..... Roma clearly have the most organize defense in seria A lat year with Zebina and Capello, and i confident and dont see any reason why the cant do that again with Juventus....

I didnt ask for davids services. What I want is two qualiity defenders and a midfielder.

ISs it too difficult

ANS NO

But look at us when we try to buy a player. Emerson as an example. We should thank god that it is his will to sign for Juve otherwise he should have been wearing inter's shirt weeks ago.:(

After the latest deal for Juve = that Mediaset have agreed to pay € 48 million Euros to show all the Juve matches on digital cable that apart from Sky TV = allows Juve to spend an extra €25-30 million , this has fuelled speculations from the Press and they have put together a list of what they think, Fabio Cannavaro 30 defender Inter costs €8 million, Daniele Bonera 23 defender Parma costs €5 million, Joaquin 22 midfielder costs €20 million, and
Alberto Geraldino 21 striker Parma costs €18 million, these are apart form the rest who have been previously linked to Juve...

Moggi was approached by the Press over the Trezeguet saga and was asked to confirm if he was going to sign or?, Moggi’s reply was there was no problem he will stay and play for the foreseeable future, he was asked if there would be any other major signing, at this point Moggi said with a wry smile that there will be a major player still to arrive, as the Press always try to get more info kept him under pressure to try to let the cat out of the bag, but nothing, the only thing he added was, "if you think Capello was a major coup then keep watching this space…" now what does that mean? David Beckham, who has been released by Real Madrid with comments any reasonable offers would be accepted, could it be Morientes for whom Real are apparently again open to offers, could it be the return of Edgar Davids who is linked to so many teams it will take a whole page, or could it be the unthinkable Totti staying with Capello, if this was the case how can Juve ever travel to the Capital without armed guards…!!?

Again I emphasise this is all press talk, nothing is yet set in stone, but it does make for good reading and can be quite funny…
The first part is the most important.

Trezeguet and Gilardino upfront? If you're going to drop DP then drop him for Miccoli, but Trez? What has he done to earn a first team spot? I know that Del Piero was disappointing in Portugal this summer, but Trezeguet was equally disappointing if not more.

i think we should now not let EURO 2004 be the base of judgement for our team selection now shall we.... Trezeguet was our top scorer last season and thats that.. ...Trezeguet top score with JUVENTUS..not with some other team like Parma, France or Italy.... he shouldnt be dropped for his performance for some other team...

Trezeguet is good at scoring goals, everyone knows that, but apart from banging them in, he's completely useless. I don't care how much he scores, IMO he's a sub-standard footballer. I'm extremely pissed that he's staying.

I know but Capello wants him to stay and that's why we'll pay him big bucks. He's still young and with us he scores. When DP gets in top shape he'll go back in the starting 11. If it was me I'd sell Trez and play Miccoli and Gilardino.

If it was me I'd sell Trez, start DP-Gila and drop whoever for Miccoli or Di Vaio depending on form.

You know in the past few days i've going all over sites and juve fans seem to be a little unrealistic. So lets see now.

1)DAVIDS:
Davids is a far possibility now more than ever.Even though Mourinho doesn't want him, but i don't think he will making the "surprise come back to juve".He has just too much problems with the guys upstrairs.
It looks like he is going to inter:(.
Anyways i think , if he comes its ok, but if he doesn't its not a disaster.Frankly i don't think we need him.We got Blasi.

2)CANAVARO:
I may think he may come to juve. But again i don't know about that.I didn't hear anything about that. But moggi mybe doing the same as the capello deal.If he came that would be perfect, we need a tough defender.

3)FERRARI:
he is also a far possibility because he wants to go with his old coach.Mybe he will make a surprise transfer but its a far possibility.

4)ODDO:
i didnt hear anything about that, be he would make a wonderfull add to the team.

1. Davids is not coming back. I think the discussion we've had is more about where he will end up.

2. Possibility of him coming is average- worth to be discussed.

3. Ferrari is almost a Roma player

4. Oddo- so far no indication that Moggi is negotiation for this guy.
