Modric - Rakitic - Kovacic, one of the best midfields around, they are hardly 6-7 teams with a better midfield than Croatia, add Mandzukic, the experienced Srna and Olic and thats a pretty good team. now lets see the USA. Dempsey is obviously a classy player, but Croatia has atleast 3 players better than him. Bradley, Jones, Altidore, Howard, Beasley and that that guy from Island. not good enough to be better than Croatia in my opinion. what Croatia lacks is a better coach. they just picked the current one 5 months ago and even if he hadnt had time to sort everything out, he has done a good job. thats still not good enough and they should aim for a better one...

We play really well as a team and are difficult to break down. Plus the center of our midfield is very strong physically, our center backs are good in the air, and our goalkeeper is top notch. That's really all you need to keep a match close. Ask Portugal, that's a team on paper that should have thrashed us, but they didn't.

Listen,first of all players don't mean shit if the team isn't balanced. otherwise Real Madrid would win CL every time. uS works way harder and are more organized. They're a better team, period.

Nope, the tactics were decent. The Mexicans are faster and technically superior to most of the CRO players. The final result from the group stage was more or less expected. What wasn't expected, at least by me, was players who run their socks off (Modric and Rakitic) unable to run after 50-60 minutes. The tiredness also resulted with inability to pass well. And that's all on the weather.
Still, even in perfect conditions 4 points were the most this team was capable of.

People play football in Brazil all the time. Almost a quarter of the teams in the world cup play in south America. It's not even close to Qatar.
