I can't really talk about his stay at Milan because I was too young but his run in 94 was great based on results alone, beating a great Barcelona team 4-0 in the final.

Our team was much better than both Liverpool and Arsenal, we should have defeated both.

On paper we had the best team in the world alongside Milan and Barcelona.
Chelsea and Milan had better teams too back then, so what? :lol: we won 2 serie a titles in a row, who knows what would happen in the 3rd season under Capello?!

won everything with Milan, league titles with Juventus, Roma and Real, went to the play-off round of WC 10 with England where his team were robbed with disallowed goal, finished above Portugal with Russian team in the qualification round to the world cup 14, Capello failed and overrated they say :rofl: north-american soccer sofa troops :touched: brilliant specialists in the football tactics and achievements :touched: 2 serie a titles in a row and 2 quarter-finals of CL it's a fail, holy shit :lol:

I wouldn't sweat it yet. It's not about cakewalking through this thing. It's about surviving to play another match.
Sometimes i forget this is a World Cup and how it's not meant to be a walk in the park. 94' was heart attack after heart attack. I'm just disappointed with some of the performances. Neymar can't do it by himself.

After the Confederations Cup a lot of things have changed;

*Fred got injured for several months and is now 100 times a worst footballer than he ever was.

*Neymar went from having the best performances in his career to being overshadowed in his club by players who IMO aren't better than is, all because of a system he'll never adapt to and for trying to be the main wolf in a pack that already has a leader. Forcing him to have an average season.

*Oscar was at his peak at the CC and that followed him back to Chelsea where even Mourinho was openly flattering him and saying how important he was to his team. Putting Mata on the bench. 2 months before the WC for reasons unknown, he starts underperforming for both club and country.

*Paulinho was a key piece to that CC team and since his move to Tottenham hasn't been half the player he can be. One could say he wasn't good enough to begin with and couldn't adapt to Europe, well he was putting top performances for his country every time. So that can't be true. He lacks fitness and lacks the grinta he used to have.

Besides Silva and Luiz we got a left and a right back who aren't reliable. Two center mids who seem to forgot how to play when it kicks off and a number 9 who's as useless as can be.

You're right when you say it's about surviving. Tough times ahead.

Capello is weak as a coach for nationals teams. Even england looks much better with Hodgson than with Capello who played horribly.

Algeria will beat Russia.

You should have selected Ronaldinho, he wouldn't do worse than scrubs like Bernard and Ramires :D

Brazil really don't have a structure or gameplan in place. All they really do is give it to Neymar and hope he is having a good day in front of goals. They look really mediocre tbh. I mean Fred is absolute garbage, he'd struggle in the fucking A-League FFS. They are lucky they play a relatively weak Cameroon next.

Mexico's keeper was great. Kept them in the game with some really good saves. They play some good football. Dat 3-5-2 tho.
