How did they miss Diego Costa there? He's the newest and loudest example of this.

Also, why would Spain lose Silva. Canary Islands are part of Spain. I wouldn't call him an immigrant.
    Costa is blunderriffic.

And if you're going to say that the Canaries aren't part of Spain (like they have their own NT?!), you may as well say Madeira isn't part of Portugal and thus Cristiano Ronaldo isn't on Portugal.

The whole article is pretty bad. Seems like someone wrote it in 10 minutes.

half of the Switzerland NT is from Kosovo, there are also a few from Bosnia/Croatia. if Kosovo is allowed to play by UEFA/FIFA, Switzerland will lose half their squad

Algeria's line-up: Mbolhi, Bougherra, Ghoulam, Halliche, Feghouli, Medjani, Bentaleb, Soudani, Taider, Mahrez, Mostefa.
Medjani and Mostefa are the weaklings, Haliche too at some extent.

    where is Belfodil? Mesbah? Ziani?
New generation bro :D It's a better one (although Ziani was God).

Belfodil wasn't called up because he didn't play at all with his club and Mesbah's on the bench since Ghoulam's better..

Bit of a retarded article :p
Like the Rossi thing, technically he would still be Italian as his parents wouldn't have migrated.
Exactly. They say Rossi should play for USA because he was born there, but also say that Pogba should play for Guinea because that's where his parents are from. They could at least be consistent. :D

Well it was Serbia and Montenegro before that. Since the country split into 2 I guess they let them chose. It's not exactly the same situation as Switzerland and Kosovo.
Right. I think if a player is born in a country that hasn't formed an NT yet (for e.g. a player born in Kosovo, but grew up in Belgium and represents the Belgian NT) CAN play for Kosovo, even though he might have represented another country beforehand. I'm pretty sure thats the rule.

EDIT: This from wiki: In international football, players can normally only play for one national team once they play in all or part of any match recognised as a full international by FIFA. However, an exception is made in cases where one or more newly independent states are created out of a former state. Based on current FIFA rules, a player will be eligible to play for Montenegro, even if he had previously represented Serbia and Montenegro or any other country, if at least one of the following statements applies:

    He was born in Montenegro.
At least one of his parents and/or at least one of his grandparents was born in Montenegro.
He has lived in Montenegro continuously for any two-year period.

They said Balotelli won't play since his parents were immigrants in the very same sentence :D
