Howedes always plays at RB for the NT, i think i saw him only 1-2 times at CB.
as for Boateng, hes faster and quicker than many give him credit for, there should be no problem playing him there. he even played for Bayern as a RWB 30 minutes in the DFB Pokal final against Dortmund and he did a great job...
