It's simple really, the WC is the biggest football competition and you need the best ref out there to officiate games, to minimize errors, and not trying to be politically correct, by giving chances to incapable, unqualified and above all metally weak refs.

Yes they dont deserve to be there as they are used to a lower standard of competition than the pinnacle of football. Makes no sense having them there as they are used to a much lower standard of competition.

Give them the cup already, as long as mickey mouse refs are assigned to Brazil they will bottle every decision with the pressure of reffing the host nation and the favourites to win it.

Nobody here can say they were surprised to see that, it was like AC Milan with the penalty in the last game of the season in 2013 we all knew they would get a penalty it was inevitable.

I don't want to be controversial here, but I didn't see anything "outragous". Sure the ref was hoodwinked by a dive, it happens unfortunatly, and will more than likely happen again.

Until I get referee displays such as that who reffed Korea in 2002 then i'll start getting suscpicous of refs favoring the home team.

We definitely had the wrong approach after the 1st goal, chickened out, and Jelavic should have never started, but later on we started playing little better. Towards the end, while chasing the result, we held Brazilians for a good period on their own half, created nice chances, got ourselves in some good positions in the final 3rd, but undoubtedly the ref was more than little biased; not just for the penalty that didn't exist, but there were lot of other situations tonight where you could see how succeptible that guy is to the pressure coming from the Brazilian bench.

When they get every decision like that yes u can hand the cup to them. Do u remember against Italy in the confeds? Neymars dive for the FK and the offside goal Brazil scored? I expected ref decisions and half of this forum did as well.
