Argentina hasn't been exposed defensively yet because they haven't play somebody worth of mentioning. I can't see them going through Germany in the QF. That defense is going to get torn a part. They looked a bit shaky in the group stages, I would imagine playing against a well organized team like Germany that have many option infront and in the midfield might expose the Argie big time

Don't underestimate Chile! The finished 2nd in the qualifiers IIRC
I hope they knock out Spain. I doubt it, though. Spain will be all over them.

Unfortunately, I can't see Switzerland getting anything less than a win against Honduras.

It's either Chile & Swiss or Spain & Swiss.

first of all i want to tell you all that i am disgusted by the game.. i never thought brazil can be like that.. to protect a 0-0, a draw, a non-football? geez... Secondly brazil is the worst team at corners..i can't believe dani alves after 5 tries couldn't send the ball at the long post or even in the box...and guess what, juan is taking the last corner in the same manner... Third, i hope portugal will play with spain and spain will kick them out. Kaka was missed so bad, baptista should quit football and i hope he won't start again in this wc. Lol at tiago and melo..

not so sure about that...i mean they will have a 60-40 posession but chile can't be ignored. I'm betting on a draw

Spain might keep possesion and pass it around like a weed joint on the weekend, but they lack the end product and being lethal in this tournament which is strange because they do have world clas players upfront.

It would be interesting:oops: , but the English are overhyped and overrated. They are disconnected out there, they can't put 2 or 3 good passes together. Add to it Rooney keep dropping too deep believing that he can pull such thing or he has the talent to do so. He needs to stay up and near the box to be effected, but most of the time he is isolated because the midfield can't provide any services like in Man utd, so once he drops deep, he becomes less effective, also Lampard is walkig on the pitch and is not positioning himself well or openning up he needs to run in space to make it easier for his teammates, but apparently he might feel alittle bit tied because of the presence of Gerrard and both love to play free role behind the strikers, this team is total disaster to watch. Gerrard is not a left winger and Lampard need to be closer to the box.

No, this is a better and more improved version of Germany.
I still believe the Argies attack is unbeatable and would destroy any defesne on any given day, but Germany might be the first real test for Argentina defense, which should be interesting to see how they hold their own

Just watched the game at a Portuguese bar, good atmosphere which made up for the moments of boring football. I thought Portugal did well to contain the Brazilians and overall looked a tad better.

Viva Portugal !

Are they friendly people?

I have a feeling it would take like 18 seconds before they jump on me for some fight. Dunno, they seem weird to me, like they are all nervous nation. I guess I'm crazy :D
