I just have to say. Italy have a bright future with Prandelli.
they will do fine with the new generation of players in Chielini, Ranocchia, Bonucci, Criscito, Giovinco, Marhcisio, Balotelli, Rossi and Montolivo.

remember 4-5 years ago there was the concern in germany about who would replace their aging stars. the youngsters stepped up though for them

I hope he dies in ........ peace :touched:

I don't see anything in him which makes him a consistently good footballer.
That can be said for a number of Juve and/or Azzurri players, no?

So is Krasic the answer of our problem?

He played no better than Pepe in this WC. Pepe definitely one of the good performer for Italy in this WC if you want to judge him from this WC. There's more player in Italy who played worse than him
Exactly my point

The biggest mistake Lippi made was the player selection. The Finnish "expert" commentators said even before the tournament that Italy is going to have a really hard time because they have absolutely no creativity in their team. Most of the fans said the same thing. It is a big professional mistake by Lippi and I'd put at least 80% of the blame to him.

That's because Germany put a ton of money and energy in to their youth setup several years ago, and it's paid off. In Italy, the youth sit on the bench

Was it De Rossi who lost his man like that for the third goal?

He was guilty for the first one. It will be too much if he fucked it up for the 3rd goal too.

which of those players, aside from Giovinco sit on the bench?

Balotelli does not really count because he has attitude issues.

No, that was KILLieni and CUNTavarro.
They had their men and they covered them. The guy who scored the goal was "marked" by a midfielder but he passed through so easily and that midfielder didn't even bother to run after him. I don't know if it was DDR or Pirlo but I'm pretty sure it was one of the two. Maybe the LB (Zambrotta at that time), but I think it was one of DDR and Pirlo.

well, I was mainly talking about Gio ;)

but what I'm saying is that Germany's sudden group of talented young players is not coincidence, they've focused on developing those players at the national level, and poured funding in to the youth teams and their training. It's not like they just got lucky and had a great generation show up. Italy have good young players, yes, but those players weren't at this WC, and it's unusual for players to excel in their first WC. So I'm not expecting that much, even though there is obviously potential for improvement
