Kudos to the Slovaks. They sure got it right and put on a good show. Italy on the other hand played each game with over confidence and didn't learn from the lesson of each game. On the contrary they kept on going at it wit hthe same lame attitude unfortunately.

I like that this WC is showing that no nation has any advantage on the other in what so ever. 11 men vs 11 men and that's about it.

Yes, they really lacked quality, but even with the team he had at his disposal, the team he chose actually, he could have done more regarding motivation. He could have done more regarding tactics, players etc, and use those who actually had a good/great season.

The last 10-15 minutes showed that even with this seriously weak squad, Italy could have easily passed this group. Lippi fucked it up. Badly.

The players had no clue what to do in there. Lippi takes a lot of rap for this performance. He didn't have to play Gattuso who hasn't looked fit all season. He played Marchisio out of position in both the matches. Actually, if he had used the players at his disposal well, he might actually have at least made it out of this group.

I'll just say what I have said for quite some time. Lippi is old and delusional. Thanks for everything you have done for Italy and Juve. I'm happy to see the back of you. Please don't come any where near Juventus.

Just watched the dire match and I'm shocked Marchetti was picked over players like Amelia, Abiati etc etc.

For all three goals a top draw keeper would have saved them all.

AND he must be the single slowest keeper in world football, even bloody Chimenti can come off the line quicker than him!

And how Storari not chosen to WC while some people here said he is one of the best GK in Serie A last season.

De Rossi sucked too. Look so slow in the game. He can be blamed for 2 goals. the first goal from his wrong pass and the third goal when he failed to track back the goal scorer

He played no better than Pepe in this WC. Pepe definitely one of the good performer for Italy in this WC if you want to judge him from this WC. There's more player in Italy who played worse than him
