Yeah, kinda funny indeed.

He would be right though if he says that Slovenia will be the highest placed Balkan country in this world cup. Which says a lot considering how they also failed to qualify.

Huge failure by the Balkans in 2008-2010 period. Some traditionally good teams like us, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey (well, if they're considered European then they are Balkan) failed to qualify. Bosnia, Albania and Macedonia, as always, failed to qualify and so did Montenegro. From those who qualified, the Serbs, which were the only ones who had high expectations, failed to pass the groups, with only 3 pts, the Greeks failed to qualify too and the Slovenians were the only ones who did much more than initially expected and won 4 pts, with seconds away from making the knock-outs.

They're far from being the best, but they sure are the only Balkans who come with their heads high after this world cup.

Then again, don't they always say how they're not Balkans?

Keep laughing. But we got the most points in the WC.

And I get the criticism from Serbians and Croatians but the Bosnians should be quiet. You should first qualify for the Euro atleast before critcising us.

2000 Euro, 2002 WC, lost against Croatia (was a close game) for the 2004 Euro and now 2010.

They're guardians of Europe, keeping the evil Balkan forces at bay. :D

Man, I fucking love my team. I FUCKING LOVE MY TEAM!
I have no idea how can you fall on provocations all the time. Your team is greatness. They play great matches and show passion, heart, making a great show for the fans and the neutrals.

In your place I'd fucking enjoy these moments instead of arguing if a country exists, if my neighbor is a dumbass who never heard of Pele or if Grosso is a diver (which he is, btw).

I had a teary-eyed moment as well. You have to understand this meant a lot to us.

Wuss or not, he is clutch. And this is from someone who used to hate his guts because he didn't man-up.
Ofcourse you had teary-eyed moment, but Donovan is something different, he really cried, and than he said:
“I’ve been through a lot in the past four years,” and “I am so glad that it has all culminated in this win. It makes me believe in good in the world and when you try to do things the right way, it’s good to see them get rewarded.”

USA isn't a great team. They are very well prepared physiclly and Donovan is a great player for the NT. Ok, that's more then a lot of teams in this WC, but I wouldn't call them great.

If USA beat Slovenia 3-2 (Well, they should have), and your saying USA isn't a great team, then what's Slovenia....?

I don't recall those lines. Perhaps he said them, but who cares. He has earned much more of my respect and that is all that matters.

Laugh all you want, but dude, Bosnia should be qualifying.

Indeed, we aren't so much of a "great team." But we are a good team. Slovenia could learn something from us, just like we could learn something from Germany.

If I were American, I'd think so too. However, I don't enjoy watching USA at all. They're constantly improving, a blind man can see that, however they're mainly very compact, hard-working and well fielded tactically. But there's not much football talent there, that something that makes people come to stadiums.

Ghana, Usa, Uruguay or South Korea?
Which one of the 4 will make the semis? What do you guys think?

Will Ghana get a push to save Africa's pride?

Personally I'd like USA or Uruguay to make it there, but tbh, I will be happy with any of them. I know how much a semi means to a smaller football nation. The Koreans actually felt it recently too so, when I think again, I'd prefer one of the other three to make it.

He really said that, and that's why I thought it really funny.

However he was good and your team really deserved to qualify, I kinda cheered for you and Slovenia.

Bosnia will not qualify not in next few years, until we find good defenders and wingers. Like Osim said, "we don't have a great team, we have four strikers and one defender" and he is totally right.

I love the entertainment. You always know something will happen. Like the Turks in 2008 :sergio:
They were the same in the Confederations cup.

England v Germany then  Should be entertaining at least. Congrats to the Yanks, great timing on that goal and deserved to win that game. What happened to super Serbia?
