Who are all these paranoid folk who think I was referring to Italy in my earlier post?

The whole world doesn't revolve around the Azzurri.

My post was aimed at England still moaning about the 'Hand of God' goal.

Still, I think all the folk jumping to conclusions says quite a lot.
And everyone is still moaning about their goal in 1966 final. It's all the same. If an English player had scored such a disgraceful handball goal against Argentina, people would have been still castigating him, devaluing the victory because he was an English player. In reality though, it was the English who conceded that goal and it was Maradona who scored it so lets celebrate the goal and laugh at the English.

It's the mentality. The US are a team, but we have way more talent. You could also look at how we played against Spain the first time. We were easily the better side. With Hazard most probably being on of the world's best in four years time, we will be better than the US.

Take Onyewu for example and compare him to Kompany..
When taking individual players, i can see your point. But like i said you have not demonstrated your ability to compete at the top level. The US have. Ivory Coast has better players than both the US and Belgium but they're a shit team.

Its not about individuals.

Of course it isn't, but the question was whether or not I considered Belgian football to be better than American. And yes, I do. We have way better players, so we must be doing something right. And I think that, in four years, we will be a team too.

I wasn't making a serious point.

I just decided it was an opportune moment to wind some people up. :D

The question was about the Belgian team VS the American team. Not Belgian football VS American football(not the sport)

The US are a team that would suit us. I think we could win. We should win as we have more talent, but they're a team like you say. We could learn from them in that area.

Take a look around, Hoori. You lot are still going on about 2002. Will you ever forget about it?

In 2006 there was a dive by Pimgpom or whatever his name is that was a given a penalty they converted, but honestly, that did not matter. We didn't deserve to go through.
I'm not. And you are the one who still mentions Grosso penalty in 2006. I complain about bad refereeing as anyone does but I'm not mentioning it all the time. Thing is that however, for everyone who is a football fan, what happened to Italy and Spain in 2002 must sound MORE than normal refereeing mistakes. I don't know why you guys ignore it so easily.

The undeserved criticism the English get is why I like them to do well :D

Yeah, unlike the last 10-15 years, now you're actually producing talents.
What you lacked after Sonck was a good attacker. I thought Mirallas could be one but he failed. But that's why you have Lukaku. If he keeps developing as expected, you will have a hell of attack too.

And unlike the Ivorians, you have the right mentality.
I too think that the Belgians will be a very strong and serious team in near future. Not only talent-wise. I'm talking team-wise.

Even now your team is maybe the youngest in Europe and there is so much talent. Those guys will play together for years in the NT and they will become a real team. :agree:

I like the potential in your NT

What we need is a couple of good games to start things off. If we could get a win against Germany for the 2012 qualifiers we might take off.

I agree with your post, the talent is there, we should make it happen.

Goggles, Seven. Take them off. Some of those goals were correctly called back, and no, it wasn't a penalty. The defender got the ball.
No. Look at them again. NONE of them were correctly called back. They were ALL called back for offside and not ONCE was the player offside.
