So Seven, do you still say Belgium is better than the US at football. There was some other person who said that Bosnia was better than the US or on par with them or something, i'm not sure, but wasn't that you Alen? :p
Yes, I do. In fact our qualiers were a lot tougher than this group. We played Turkey, Spain and Bosnia, all three better than Algeria and Slovenia. Both Belgium and Bosnia could beat the US any given day. Would be close, but certainly not impossible. In four years time Belgium will reach the semis.

Quit the whining. The US was screwed over in 2002, 2006 and in two matches this year, yet you rarely hear any complaining. Seriously, give it up.

The whining comes from the media Andy, don't you think? You can't hear Slovenians whining if they get bad refereeing calls because they are no ones in football. This could only happen to big teams with papers and media writing and talking about football all the time.

Who are all these paranoid folk who think I was referring to Italy in my earlier post?

The whole world doesn't revolve around the Azzurri.

My post was aimed at England still moaning about the 'Hand of God' goal.

Still, I think all the folk jumping to conclusions says quite a lot.
You are brilliant Red, you really are

Belgium was screwed over in 2002 too. There was nothing normal about that World Cup. But whereas people felt Belgium and the USA had every right to complain, the Italians were told to fuck off. And I can see why that hurts if you're by far the most mistreated team of them all.

Take a look around, Hoori. You lot are still going on about 2002. Will you ever forget about it?

In 2006 there was a dive by Pimgpom or whatever his name is that was a given a penalty they converted, but honestly, that did not matter. We didn't deserve to go through.

I think you guys have some talented players. Hazard especially is someone who i rate very highly. But you haven't demonstrated the ability to play well as a team. Just look at the way you guys played against Spain and look at the US when they played Spain.

Right now, the Americans are light years ahead of Belgium, no doubt about that at all. They've demonstrated and are demonstrating their ability on the world stage.

What whining? You've got some issues, mate.

It isn't only black or white. I just said what happened to USA is nothing compared to what happened to Italy in 2002, but I've never said they were not mistreated by refs so far. I also think they deservedly top their group. So, what whining? and give what up?

I say you should put me in your ignore list as you said earlier and stop throwing stupid replies to my posts.

congrats to the yanks specially andy!! hard luck to the algerians. they did play a great game sadly they dont have a finisher who could've taken them far. i guess nothing is lost though i just hope the mentality changes bec there were some very un-necessary tackles and as per usual the red card accompanied the algerians.

I don't recall what happened to Belgium. Actually, I don't even remember seeing any of their matches.

I only remember that I watched that match with my brother who was anti-Brazil and he was furious at the ref for robbing Belgium and helping Brazil. I too don't remember the particular incidents.

It's the mentality. The US are a team, but we have way more talent. You could also look at how we played against Spain the first time. We were easily the better side. With Hazard most probably being on of the world's best in four years time, we will be better than the US.

Take Onyewu for example and compare him to Kompany..

We got to the 2nd round by beating Russia. We were the better side for most of the game against Brazil and Wilmots actually scored for us, but the goal was cancelled. Not for offside or anything.. in fact the ref never did tell why it was cancelled.
