I don't see the point of that. I'd rather have the Europeans lose a spot, if anyone.

That would be completely nonsensical. The Europeans have the hardest time qualifying as it is. For example Belgium were in a group with Bosnia, Turkey and Spain. That's four sides that could beat the USA.

I don't think that any normal European football fan would like to take the 5th spot from South America. I will actually gladly give a European spot to South America to have the 6th team.

FIFA is doing a lot for the African football. It's like their biggest task. Football in Africa did improve at one point, but it's obvious that for the last 10 years things haven't really changed to better. So even if during this WC the Africans failed, FIFA won't take the 5th spot away from them in the near future.

There shouldn't be any changes regarding the distribution of spots for the WC compared to how it is now. Even if it's obvious that these are not the best 32 teams in the world, all the continents are represented in a rightful way.
5 for Africa, 5 for South America, 1 for Oceania, 4 for Asia, 3 for North/Central America, 13 for Europe and 1 spot for the host.
Maybe a 6th spot to SA and 12 spots for Europe will be more correct, but even as it is, it looks about right.
