They gave us ear plugs before games in South Africa. The noise is really loud, in the S.Africa game, literally you couldn't hear yourself speak, and if you shouted at the top of your lungs, the guy beside you wouldn't even know you opened your mouth unless he was looking at you.

But imo it contributes to the atmosphere, and i personally liked it very much.

i dont know fred its a lot of headache with all the buzzzzzzzzzzz i would imagine it kills the mood considering u cant even hear the chants, or songs. may be it sounds different in real life, unlike how annoying it is on tv but i cant judge here. to be honest i'm starting to get used to it now that we r getting into the 3rd week but it still remains a tiny bit annoying.
