Looks pretty dire for the African nations, except for Ghana. Still some matches for others but it doesn't look too promising, which is a bit strange, since it is their continent.

They aren't really helping the calls of giving the continent another WC spot.

And there are talks of stripping us (South America)of one of our spots.. yeah it's not like every south american team has won or tied their games. :sergio:

i'm not gloating here, or acting baised but i seriously wish egypt was in this version of the cup, i think we would've at least drawn or given some sort of performance but so far apart from ghana the rest of the african nations are very very poor. its no surprise though in the caf earlier this year the teams that qualified to the WC par ghana and to an extend algeria failed to show up with any performance.

Indeed, that's just absurd. I believe South America deserves another spot, actually. Instead of having a playoff between Concacaf and Conmebol, just give the South Americans the spot outright. They deserve it.

They are theoretically still in, of course. But their chances are small. It doesn't matter with how many goals will Argentina beat Greece. They only need to beat Greece. After that it's all in Nigeria's hands and in order to qualify they will have to beat Korea by 2 goals difference or more. Could happen, but slim chances for that. With this defense the Nigerians have, the fast Koreans will always find spaces. Korea can play more defensively and bet on counters. They can even allow a 1 goal difference defeat. It's gonna be tough to break such a team and beat it by 2.

Yeah, Egypt would probably be a better fit for taking on some of these sides.

I think they can beat Korea. Argentina have already advanced and I think they have their first place secured too so they will probably not be playing with their first team but this Greece side can't get a draw from them I'm sure and they also HAVE TO go for a win because a Korea win means an end to their World Cup. It's a slim chance but not a very very slim one I hope :D
