@ Andries: People will never stop abusing specially somebody that has been successful, it is just a part of their lives and what keeps them happy and satisfied in their life

wait delle alpi, are you a Middle Eastern, living in Canada, supporting Holland really having a go at people who support other nations?

up next,Maher lashes out at people who support whoever is winning
I hate you :D Scottish senstion
I study in the Canada and too bad I might end up living there for the rest of my life. :depressed: :scared:
I support Netherland but I won't go crazy if they lose or win. If they lose I won't hang my self off a bridge in the middle of no where called Canada and will not slit my wrist, and if they win I am not have a tattoo of Ken's full name, pic, and the Netherland flag. I explained it that I am just agianst those people that take it to extreme. You can cheer to whoever you want.

I actually explained it very well in my post in the previous page that people are entitled to support who ever they want, it is just when they take it to xtreme that become annoying and unbearable

hey guys, whats up here?
I still did not see any great performence in this WC. Even Argentina had some problems in the defence... France is the same crossant like in euro 2008.

the star of the WC is still Shakira for me ;)

But why does everyone assume that if you support another nation that you want to bask in their glory?

I just like it when Italy win, I don't take credit for it, I don't make fun of people who would have liked Brasil to win.. In fact, most would argue that Andy is far more annoying, even though he supposedly has the right to support the USA. My God, what an annoying guy.

It is not only that guy Ahmad, this behaviour is spread in the ME, also if you could read Arabic, just check out arabic football forum and see the naionalism and patriotism toward the teams they cheer for

 you know i am just jesting
For sure man, ad good luck at the WC, eventhough I have a feeling Paraguay is going to win and take the whole group:)

I know what you mean DA, I've seen it myself...just yesterday one Syrian/Lebanese dude came to the sheesha place with a massive England flag  :sergio:

I guess ME blokes are more passionate, which is not necessarily a bad thing IMO.

Gosh Andries, you sound bitter. What's with all the hate and name-calling? I'm assuming you're referring to 2002 when you call Korea "cheaters", because they got a bunch of favourable calls from the referee. Don't forget that they also got their fair share of terrible calls against them e.g. Totti only getting yellow for intentionally swining an elbow, Romero not being sent off for two ridiculous, identical tackles (studs-up into a player's shin) but of course everyone conveniently turns a blind eye to those.

Nobody in their right mind could accuse the Korean players of cheating. You might be interested to know that South Korea conceded more free kicks than any other team in the World Cup. Even you couldn't tell me that they're a violent or dirty team.

Incorrect refereeing decisions are part of the game, and to still be calling a team 'cheaters' 8 years on because they benefited from some is just childish. It's even more ridiculous if you're saying this from the perspective of an Azzurri supporter. Don't forget that there's a big difference between benefiting from a referee's decision and blatantly diving to get one ala Fabio Grosso.

If you're going to troll, at least don't contradict yourself in two consecutive posts :sergio: I'm sure you like to think that the Korean team is a bunch of diving, whinging cheaters, but anyone who's watched any of their World Cup matches will see that they're a group of hard-working players who get on with the game. Whether the referee chooses to give calls their way or not shouldn't be a reflection of the team itself.

Thanks Jack. I hope you keep following along with me and enjoy the matches along the way.

"The 11 corner kicks Greece took are the most the country has ever taken in a World Cup match and just the 20th time since 1966 that a country failed to score while taking that many corners."

It was a JOKE, gray.

As for 2002: your inability to accept that South Korea reached the semis because of blatant favouritism can only sadden me.

The 2002 team is also not the same one as we saw yesterday. You should take a closer look at their behaviour in 2002, it was not acceptable. Very very foul play.

If you said something bad about England and made fun of their football team he would have gave you a speech as if he was born on the top of big ben.
you can call passionate but alot of it is anger :)

@Bisco: Hey bro, do you have the Algerian flag ready by your side. I know you are excited for that match and been waiting for ever:p
