I hope that finally a smaller team will make the final and surprise everyone.
These so called smaller teams were close to the final on the last 4-5 occasions. Bulgaria and Sweden in 1994, Croatia in 1998, Turkey and Korea in 2002 and even Portugal in 2006.
But I can see only Spain as a newcomer in the final and it won't even be a surprise at all.

Spain's squad is by far superior to every other squad with the exception of England. Great Keepers, good defense, best ever midfield, and 2 world class strikers.
Brazil's squad is terrible in midfield and strikers.. for the first time though they have an exceptional defense with Lucio, Juan, maicon and silva being in good form. The rest of the squad had a disastrous season. Dunga apparently goes more with the team play rather than individual skills.
France is a joke that is not even worth mentioning. Not to mention their terrible coach.
Argentina has fantastic strikers, an average midfield and lame defense.. but they have the worst coach in the competition hence they dont have a chance.
Italy is a joke squad but lippi is a magician so who knows.
Netherlands has a terrible defense but they play beautiful football. Fun to watch but cant make it to the end.
Never write off the Germans because they always deliver even though their squad mostly sucks.
England is the second most perfect squad assuming everyone is fit. Their chelsea players are in high spirit, their striker are in crazy form.. only gerrard is sleeping. They also have the best coach in the competition.
I'd say England and Spain are favorites but we all know thats not how the world cup works. unless they run into each other in a lesser stage they should be in the top 4 with one of them making it to the final.
