Should have been sent off every single game. It was a disgrace he wasn't sent off versus Brazil. So far Holland have been getting away with it, but I see Van Bommel as a liability. He's a good player, but his incessant fouling will cost them at some point.

Van Bommel didn't really deserve a red so far tonight. He got a deserved yellow and made one or two small fouls that weren't a yellow but could be a warning that a third small foul might get him sent off.

De Jong's foul was bad but it wasn't from behind and if the ref didn't think it's intentional then he made the right decision to give him a yellow. Some refs might have even gone for the red, but imo yellow was enough and a very good call.
