You are telling me that officials from Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabi, and random African countries are the best?

Hell no. The best are from Europe, the ones that have to work in the world's top leagues day in and day out, but that would be called biased.

The refs from the EUROs were great.
I think that is a load of nonsense. All the refs, regardless of which continent they are from, were poor this past month.

If you're going to use that argument, then you will have to admit the Prem has the best referees in the world, even though they clearly do not.

Yea?
You realize that the referees invited to the World Cup were marginal at best? There are other referees in Europe, if you're not aware.:D
The same could be said about Asian refs who were never given credit nor the benefit of doubt like the one you're given for European refs right now.

Look Im not saying all the European refs are Rosetti ,eventhough he's a good ref IMO one of the best too whose assistant fucked him up, but I don't expect to hear that nonsense of Asian refs being inferior to their European counterparts for nothing but, well, being from Asia.

Disappointing :(, lucky dutch, this is a team who IMO didnt deserve to go through but thats football. Uruguay have been the team of the tournament and have made their nation proud. Uruguayans started off the better good movement passing keeping the possession and trying to make something. The dutch at times were all in their own half, ridicolous :howler: from a side thats worth much more than them, did they play better? hell no. After the first half youd have to say a 1-1 was least deserved for Uruguay. Come second half the sneider goal was so close to being offside from van persie. Van persie was in active area, he was just adjudged to be onside but in situations like that it was debateable regardless. You can tell from the expression of uruguay that was a stunner as the dutch pulled a goal out of nowhere, its a shame for a team who had a lot of fighting spirit that goal pretty much killed it off for them, robbens goal certaintly did and it took a long while before they could recapture some confidence back.. the biggest shame is that pereira strike came 2 minutes from time. Holland in the previous world cups played good football and deserved to win some of them. However this world cup they played crap and got to the final. Luck certainly played its part and the referee was shocking oh and van bommel is an arsehole .

Uruguay should be proud of themselfs but i wouldnt blame them for being disapointed and look back at what had beens..

A team that played with fighting spirit good passion and football deserves applaudes. Well done Uruguay. As for the final I really wish the best team wins (thats the best throughout the whole of the tournament and not just on sunday).

I get what you're saying.

What I'm saying is that in general the refs sucked this World Cup. I think we agree.

Yo, what was the name of that ref who officiated a few Bundesliga matches and was caught for running a betting/bribing ring based on the matches he ran?
Robert Hoyzer.

What about the Norweigen bald one who fucked up that famous CL semi final between Chelsea and Barca last season along with the Bayern- Viola 1st leg match?

Oh wait, he's European. Even the worst of them are better than the Asian ones :agree:

Terrible refereeing once again :howler:

Uruguay hard done by, that second goal should have never stood, and by the way Uruguay was playing, who knows they might even have won the game.

Kudos to the Dutch for being efficient, and kudos to Van Marwijk for the excellent substitution he made between the halfs, VDV added some much needed passing ability to the Dutch midfield.

Uruguay was missing 4 key players, yet they still played a great game. Forlan was fantastic, Diego Perez, Rios and Alvaro Perreira were all impressive. They did all they could, but the ref fucked up once again.
good game anyways
This is not fair. Netherlands are shit. Uruguay deserved to win. A lucky moment of genius.. an offside goal.. no possession or beautiful play.. I am pissed
Respect, URUGUAY !!!

Generally they certainly are. Maybe 1 or 2 individuals from Asia might turn out to be the best in the world, but as a group they're most probably behind refs who officiate CL and the top European leagues.

The same thing can be said even if you look inside Europe only. It's not a coincidence that you won't find many refs in the CL or at a WC or EURO from the smaller leagues and that the majority comes from the European top 10 leagues.
