Might work. How did Joe Cole play?
He came on for about 15 minutes, played poorly in my opinion however I would put him out wide say LW?

Rooney

Gerrard

Cole-Barry-Lampard-Lennon

A.Cole-Terry-Dawson-Johnson

James

This team would be very quick on the counter and could catch Argentina out atleast, I'm not too sure on the Germans.

sorry Alen, it wasn't a penalty there is a different between this ball (for god sake the player even did't see the ball) and with kewell's handball.
Did Vidic hit Cahil's static hand or did Cahil move his hand up and Vidic hit it?
If it's the former then it wasn't a penalty, if it was the latter, then I'm afraid it's a penalty. Cahil might not have seen it, and he didn't, but by moving his hand like that in the penalty box, knowing that there is a guy behind him who can hit the ball and score or assist, he wasn't careful, it shows intention, and penalty should have been given.
I don't really remember what happened.

I say.. isn't that what I said about the Kewell case? :D

I think it's a penalty by the way, he was being careless. But I can see why it was not given. I didn't catch a replay of the second goal by Pantelic..

Thats my thinking, Argentina and Germany have left alot of open space between midfield and defence when they attack I think if we move the ball alot quicker we could punish them.

both teams have mediocre CBs. If Rooney starts playing well, and Gerrard does a good job, they'll trouble both teams. Germany are only good with the ball, and they don't have a top DM like mascherano to protect them. Not to mention that despite Mascherano's quality, he's very vulnerable to physicality, particularly speed, and Gerrard could cause him a lot of trouble. Ashley Cole is also good enough to shut down Lahm. The question is, who will take care of Özil? Argentina have a better attack than Germany, as well as a better DM, but Germany is Germany, they won't be easy to beat

The interviewer called him "Mr. Donovan" and said stupid things like "describe the emotions coursing through your veins". Then at the end, Donovan waves to the camera and says something like "I love you, Bianca!".
That'll be the hussy that felt sorry for him.

What can I say? It was a stupid thing to post. Australia achieved nothing.

Then again you could say that Cahill's red card changed the entire group.

But let's not put any of the blame on the refs, who have been awesome so far.
It wasn't stupid at all. Australia did well to pull themselves out of the gutter after the Germany defeat and they were on the brink of qualifying. I'm not talking about how they celebrated, I'm talking about how they played.

But you're an irrational person who is all about sour grapes, and little humility, whether it be Italy, Belgium, or whatever other country you want to win at a given time.

I wanted GHANA to qualify, Andy.

And I'm not irrational. In fact I'm extremely rational. Just like I'm also not a hypocrite, I'm probably the least hypocrite on the entire forum.

Australia did fuck all, they weren't on the brink of qualifying, they still had to score two and didn't even push. They're morons. Glad they're out.

How do you measure hypocrisy?

Yes, but was there any kind of intention in Kewell's case? IIRC, Kewells hand was next to his body and the ball hit him. I don't see how can you show intention there.
In Cahil's case I think he was moving his hand, he had it in the air, and you can't do that in the penalty box. It shows intention.

Second goal? You mean the chance he missed for a second goal? It was clear offside, but the linesman didn't give it. Grand choke by Pantelic there.

No, I mean the one he actually scored.

u will make me look at it again, but as i remember it wasn't meant at all and his arm position and the ball was behind him and he didn't look at it. i think it wasn't penalty. but i will try to check it out again. anyway as u said Ghana is the better from the 3 teams.. i think they deserve this. just hope for better performance in the next stage with good finish.
