 i dont see the english player snap out on capello though. i think they know its there poor showings that have to do with out they r in right now.

very true. And while the French looked uninterested, depressed, lazy, unwilling, etc, the English are clearly unable to deal with the tremendous pressure on them right now. Seeing every player yesterday unwilling to take responsibility and shoot was pathetic

Why did Anelka say that? What was the fight about?

It must be more than Domenech's incapability to lead the team. We had such coaches too in Juve but our players didn't tell Zaccheroni to go fuck himself.
The article says that Domenech was giving him tactical instructions. Anelka started to bitch and Domenech told him he would substitute him if he continued like that. Then Anelka told him to go fuck himself and called him those names. To which Domenech responded: ok, tu sors :D.

Anyways, despite Domenech's stupidity, it's bad behaviour from Anelka. Domenech favoured him over Henry and actually defended him in the press. Even if you don't agree with those tactical instructions, you can just say so.

Domenech told Anelka he might be taken off, telling him he was moving out of position too often. Anelka swore at him, Domenech said "alright, you're off" and Anelka said "yeah, that's it" :D:D

@giovanotti: it would make my year to see Capello eviscerate that thug rooney :D
  did any one see this during the mexico game??

Honestly I just really like the guy, The French actually do play some good stuff at times it's just his selections that are abit weird. I'm sure he'll get another job after he leave the NT and I'd like it to be us :p

Meh I suppose after Ferrara and Zacc I accept improvements :p
Domenech is one of the worst coach ever. For sure.

I can't believe you like the guy.

:agree: i always under-rated the effect of the media on any team but i have to admit the english media really has the ability to get into there players head, and to be fair there is nothing capello can do to fix that.

in all fairness they could actually be on par with teams u mentioned had he called up samir nasri, ben arfa, benzema, and mexes
I doubt much would have changed.

Still, despite the obvious presence of talent that was badly used, this French team is still far behind the previous teams they had.
It's not just the lack of a genius like Zidane, but they were weaker in other positions too. They don't have a player of Makelele's and even Vieira's quality in midfield, they don't have a player of Thuram's quality in defense, nor is Henry the same player anymore.

They lack "champions", as the Italians call players of Zidane's, Henry's or Makelele's level. Despite having players of great quality, they don't have proven winners in the team.

in a way, it's very sad. The combination of the English media and the English public has effectively hamstrung the players psychologically. They simply cannot perform for their country. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with England and their team, but it's definitely sad to see. They could be an excellent team, and I thought Capello would be able to bring the best out of them, but they were abysmal against Algeria

definitely true, they have no one with that iron-clad winning mentality. Henry, despite his experience and quality, has never been such a player, and neither is Anelka

i agree with yr point def they lack quality players in certain positions, also its no use to have the players i mentioned if u dont utilize them where they will give u the most effect, sth dom is very poor at imo. i never thought of it this way to be honest alen, i completely toke viera, thurum, and even henery out of the equation. but i think had there been a better manager and he had the team france had they would be good as henry mentioned may be not on par with the rest of the big names but they wont go down this badly.

Everything you said is true, I agree with all except that love/hate part. :D
