He is their everything. It's hard to judge a match when it's against New Zealand, but I like it how he plays the playmaker role. Unusual for him, and he's still following his instincts, covering the hole between midfield and attack, but he's really dominant in midfield. Watch more carefully how every last or second to last pass is Hamsik's.

While writing this he was instrumental in the last two attacks. Winning the balls in his half and making the pass that opens a counter.

It just made it less interesting, but the outcome will be the same nonetheless. Italy and Paraguay have superior teams to Slovakia and especially New Zealand. Now it is only a question if Slovakia or NZ can make the battle for the 1st place more interesting.

Edit: And it's gonna be important to be 1st and avoid the Dutch.
