ribery is a little unpredictable, he can be brilliant, and he can be mediocre, and he can be terrible.

but argh hes just so damn ugly!! honestly he is quasimodo.

ya, but i can't believe that some people can think that he will be the next zizo......he hangs on to the ball way to long for my taste, but then again thats what france does, they pass it around until they have 45 passes strung and then make their move.

i think that if italy can pressure the ball and not give them to much time to play with it, it might take them off their game a little bit. Portugal did a good job today of that......only a few mistakes here and there but still. i bet henry is sure glad he took those acting classes when he was younger :D

you are testing our memories, arent you?:p

I do remember that happened in the period once SONY was one of Juve's main sponsors, and held 5% of Juve's stock.

I'm so pissed off, I really am. My blood is boiling . Everybody now wants Zidane to win... to end the carrear with another wc trophy. who cares ?? he already has one. yes, his story in the WC is nice, but Italy deserves this trophy more than anybody.

I'm thinking what if Italy loses... Italy loses and Juve gets relegated... and I just get so angry. So mad... I won't be able to ever watch football again. Definitely not international football but just local. I just can't get around with it. Italy has to win or I'll go mad... I mean I'll go on a killing rampage, I'm gonna do something crazy. I'm telling you there is only one option. Fuck, I can't get it out of my brain, too pissed off.

ok, need to take a break until after the match.

i agree, zizou has already won it all and france just doesnt deserv it because of one man (or two/vieira), dp has none, cannavaro has none, nesta has none, buffon has none, zambrotta has none, rino has none etc etc.

france dont deserve it because compared to italy, italy have been far more entertaining, consistant and look more like worthy winners.

Zizou is the guy who made me follow Juventus FC... he is my idol, but so id Del Piero........... I cheered for Zizou in that Euro final...... but this time it will be different.

Not only Del piero.... but the entire squad need this world Cup..

By far this will be the most important match of their carreers........ every player dream for this moment.

This time i hope it will be Italy... but one thing for sure..... i hope to see some great football there... a game to see the last shine of my 2 fave players on the big screen.

Forget formations..... just go out and finish this wonderfull cup!!!!

unless del piero finds some magic cream to keep him from aging or if lippi coaches italy for the next 5 years this will be del piero's goodbye from the world cup. i hope he gets called for euro 2008 and everything, but del piero needs this one. i think del piero deserves one more then zizo deserves 2 to be honest. some people just get to greedy. zizo wont get 2.

my only fear is what happened today. Henry pulling off his little tactics in the box and getting the ref. the bit but hopefully whoever the ref. is he will be smart.

does anybody know if they named the ref. for this match yet?

So France has advanced to the final again? This must really be a big surprise as people have predicted its downfall after France struggled to get past the group stage. So far France has dealt with the toughest opponents on their road to the final which include Spain, Brazil and Portugal. Now they will come face to face with Italy, a side with a disciplined defence. As I have alwyas isa,d everhting is decided on the midfield, and Gattuso needs to stop Zidane, which is definitely an uphill task.

Speakng of France, it gives me the creeps of their class in 1998 and 2000. You can see aging stars such as Barthez, Thuram and Zidane fading away, but when they play in this WC tournament, they suddenly become more solid. Makelele and Vieira are doing their job well. Henry has been greater than average. I fear that their form in 1998 is back to haunt Italy. And Trezeguet, the goalscorer that killed Italy in 2000, will be playing. I still remember his goal against Real Madrid in 2005 and he knows Buffon well.

The tale of 2 countries.

The only team that can score against Italy are the Italians themselves.

As much as I would like to see an entertaining and high scoring games, I don't see the best back line in the world making any mistakes.

Guys, this is a different Azzurri team than the one's in 1998 and 2000, and a different (better) coach

DP, Canna, Buffon, Totti and company deserve the WC, and will bring it home !!!!:agree:

FORZA AZZURRI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was more nervous about the Czech Republic Match (because a loss meant either facing Brazil or elimination) and, a little less, about the Germany match (because playing against the host team is always uphill)... but until now, I was relatively calm about the final...

... until you people made me think a little:D

I still have a LOT of confidence that Italy has enough quality players and tactics to go all the way. When only a few (at least from the people I know) were giving Italy a chance, I was sure Italy was up for great things in this tournament. So far so good.

I'm not old enough to remember Spain 82. USA 94 was a total heartbreak.

I'm so hoping this time is the time considering what's happening with Juve.

I like Zidane ,Trezeguet and Thuram, but I prefer to Canavano,Buffon,Zambrota and especially Piero,Italia will revenge to France for lost in 2000

I believe Italia will win the final game, they will be the world champion

A "Monster" of a game! But this is what the Azzurri have work so hard to reach. They are more determined than ever to do their best and finish ontop of the world. I believe it will be a close game, but I have faith in our defence to shut France down. We should also have Nesta back for the finals to partner with Cannavaro. That will be a huge boost to the team. It's going to be a mouth watering game.

Forza AZZURRI , i think the italians have the edge to win with lippi more experienced than the french coach.
