At every shop I've ever worked or been to it's always been custom to have the guard accompany every gypsy throughout their "shopping-round".
Sadly, there's much reason to do so.

One could confuse her for a hippie.I'm asking because some of the Serbs that work next door our office keep calling pur Indian couriers,gypsies.

It's not the first time i've heard balkan folks here call indians or pakis gypsies.

We just don't know any better. We're an un-cultural bunch. Better not call us gypsies, though. That's asking for some ass-whopping.

Insulting the mother is an everyday use, we don't react to that anymore(unless it's from someone you really hate, than he's just calling for a punch in the face). Calling someone gypsy, or "cigane" in our language, is a pretty solid insult.
