Well he's no Del Piero, and certainly not Nedved. But I haven't heard any reports of indisciplined behavior? Care to name some?
He got to many cards this season, I think he reffered to that...

However welcome Vicenzo... (I'm thinking of buying his shirt next season :))

You mean she..

Anyhow, he is quite physical if thats how he got them cards. I got DP's shirt, and September I'll be in Germany, so perhaps I'll stop by Turin to watch a game and buy Buffon's Jersey.

There was an internal row, that concerned me, rather than bookings/sendings off, but Udinese had problems with him in the past, and at one point the Udine management deliberately "benched" him and wouldn't let him play. I think at the time, he thought himself more important than the rest of the team and the management finally left him out of the team to teach him a lesson. It was years ago and he was younger - and a tad big headed. It was a shame as Udinese were doing well until he threw his tantrum and got himself dumped. He missed quite a few games before he "learned his lesson", but the management was determined that he was not going to get away with his behaviour. Like I said - I hope he's grown out of it. Yes, he gets booked/sent off like others, but I don't want to see the ructions at Juve like he caused at Udinese.

He got a huge head after he scored a hat-trick in the Champions League, and was demanding a new contract. He was very close to being sold back then.
About cards, big players usually get booked more than average.

Wow, u remembered that. Thanks for the flashback, now I recall what ur talkin about, I think it was two seasons ago where he was on fire and netted the hattrick in Cl.

he was then dropped to the bench but not for causing trouble or thought of himself as more important, but simply because he didn't want to sign an extention to his contract which would expire that year if Im not mistaken.

He was forced to sign a contract extension or risk not making the WC team. I don't blame him for that incident, so Im good with him.

If Im not mistaken he just didnt want to extend his contract so that he can better his chances of moving to a bigger club, he didn't demand it. He was at the bitter end of that dispute, and eventually gave in.

He's not that bad guys. In fact, I think Iaquinta playing alongside DP and/or Trezeguet could do a decent job. Plus he's got a physical presence and a decent amount of speed, so I see him settle with us rather quickly.
Exactly.

I think he will do us really good.

Welcome Vincenzino! :pint:

He'll be very useful, for a tall guy he's really fast...can play with 2 in front or on the right with 3, runs the whole 90m+....the super sub I say.

im glad we got iaquinta but 11.3 million is far to much for him. We could of got him for under 10, we waited all this time and now we pretty much got ripped off. He's a quality player but he isn't that much.

Welcome, Vincenzo. :pint:

Ahmedios is going to kill u for opening the thread :D
Not this time really. :D

Because the thread title is supposed to be "The Official Vincenzo Iaquinta Thread" :p

This story is 100% correct, but I hope it won't be repeated in Turin.
