This piece of news is just a couple of hours old and leaked from "NTB" and appears in the Norwegian "VG nett". I have no idea if it's serious or not as I haven't read about it elsewhere.

It says that Vieri will sue Inter for 21 million euros (170 million Norwegian kroner) because he believes to hold evidence of being spied upon by Inter and Telecom Italia.

His lawyer says that Vieri believes this destroyed his career.

It says also that Inter does not want to make any comments.

Yes, and if Vieri wins his case, it could strengthen the chances of anyone else, who sues moratti & co, winning their cases! :eyebrows:

I'm not a lawyer, but I think Moggi, Girauldi & anyone else who chose to do so, could sue him under the European convention of Human Rights - right to privacy.
Remember, moratti used the "criminal underground" to pass these illegally tapped hone calls to the police & the police said there was No Proof of match fixing in the tapes & that such a claim would not be sustained in a court of law. Calciopoli was a "sport's court" not a real (i.e. law) court. So, as a court of law has not prooved that there was just cause to tap these phones, then surely, this is an invasion of privacy. Bearing in mind that these phone taps were illegal in the first place, then should moratti not be charged with industrial espionage (after all football is a business). I know that there is a time limit, but if someone has been doing this over a period of time, then the time limit should be implemented from the end of that period, not the beginning.
