How can our players have a black and white heart when the coach himself doesnt? However, that's not the only thing he lacks. Have said it before, he also lacks the ability to nurture younger talent. What he needs are high profile players to make his work easier. What he doesn't realise is, that doesn't make the work easier, it only makes the future more difficult.

True, out of viera and emerson I would certainly keep viera. His a much better provider and this aint the only tie his shown that if you look at the first part of the season he was arguably one of the best DM around in serie A. He can also score goals from headers and in my eyes I think his physically stronger than emerson. We have given him one season so far, it would be only fair to give him another.

Viera just always seems knackered whenever he plays, especially the last 20mins of games. But yeh, we should give him another year, remember that Thuram wasnt too impressive either in his first year

Better fitness - hmm dont know for how long, Viera is younger than emerson I wont be suprised if he has a better and much fitter season next year. Although TBH ive seen time and time again in many matches where emerson is slow as a turtle. His been proberly consistently better than viera in serie A. However in europe you would proberly put your bets more on viera.
Better passing - Disagree, yes short passes but his awful in his long passing. The whole point of having them in centre is that if worst comes to worst we may need someone to pass to teh forwards. Emerson aint the best going up whatsoever.
Better tackling - No doubt agree there. However Viera has come from the EPL and the style of tackling there is much more aggressive.
Better teamwork - Not by much as I said yes defensively but what we most notably lack is attacking and emerson cant do much for the fowards.
As for on a general theme if they were both on their form and they played against each other I would most certainly say viera is much better than emerson any day. Anyway bottom line is who cares.. what we dont need at the end of the day is two friggen DM next to each other next year...
