A father and son are sitting in a plane. The boy asks if he can see the cockpit. He can, and after his visit the pilot says to the co-pilot "Did you see that kid, that's my son!"

How is this possible?

The pilot is the boy's mother.

What? 0.21 folded 41 times gives a thickness of 0.21mm*41= 8.61mm

There is a room with three lamps in it. You are standing outside the room, there are three switches there. Each switch controls one lamp, although you do not not which switch corresponds with which lamp.

When you enter the room you must point out which switch corresponds with which lamp. How can you do this?

You first turn on the first switch for a few minutes. You then turn it off, and then turn on the second switch. You then enter the room. The lamp which is off, but still warm corresponds with the first switch. The switch you then turned on corresponds with the lamp which is on. The last switch you didn't touch corresponds with the third lamp.

No it isn't.

If you fold it one time you get 0,42 mm.

If you fold it two times you get 0,84 mm.

Get the idea, it's exponential.

Another one:

You have eight marbles and a scale. All eight marbles are the same size and color, but one is heavier then the others.

What is the minimum amount of times that you'll have to use the scale in order to find out which marble is heavier?

You first put three on the left side of the scale, and three on the right side. The last two you keep on the table. You now have three possible situations:

The scale tips to the right:

You throw away all marbles who weren't on the right side of the scale. The three that are left, you put one on the left side on the scale, one on the right and one on the table. After this weighing you know which one is the heaviest.

The scale tips to the left:

Same here, only with the three marbles that were on the left.

The scale is perfectly balanced:

You have only two marbles left, which you can weigh in order to find the heaviest.

In all cases you can do it with two weighings.

What would you do if you were assigned to move a whole house 50 meters away without any tools or help. Just you!?

You'll have to "remove" the earth's gravity and then start moving....physics:)

I just don't get that.

And to Gol, I took out a piece of paper and tried for like 5 minutes on the pilot question, that is sickly good.
Haha, it's a question feminists used on my school when I was ten or something. I actually guessed that one within 2 seconds. The feminists didn't like that though, because they were going to give us a speach on us being brainwashed because we weren't able to answer such a simple question.
