You need proteins that are found mostly in red meat, bread, etc.

Id rather be anorexic than vegan

    Tofu sucks
There are many non-meat sources of proteins like: Broccoli, Soy beans, Asparagus, Spinach, Mushrooms, Spirulina, and Bean sprouts.

To quote Erik, I'd rather take a fork, stab it into my left eye and stir it around a bit before i'd live on that :yuck: I mean I've got nothing against mushrooms and beansprouts, but it just doesn't work when you've got nothing but

    Tofu's great when it's cooked right :)

I don't know if anything can taste good... I've never been a fan of eggplant, for example

eggplant :lick: not good by itself, but there's an arabic dish (or at least i think it's arabic) called "Msagga'a" (hard for you guys to pronounce). anyway, it's a layered dish that tastes great!!

bottom layer is sliced eggplant, then pasted with tomato sauce, then a layer of ground beef with onions, then a other layer of sauce. then mozzarella cheese on top. it's then coocked in the oven. (i'm sure there are other seasonings and stuff, but that was just the basic idea)

awesome.. my old apartment mate used to make it. :lick:

Well if you put it that way :D

Everything tastes good with ground beef, onions, sauce and mozzarella cheese!

    That was cheating :(

Okay maybe eggplant was a bad example, but how the hell was I supposed to know that some genius would have thought of adding ground beef, onions, and topping it off with melted mozzarella cheese :irritate:

But you know what I mean :)

    I've tried being a vegetarian.

It lasted only for half a day :D

I know most Hindus are vegetarians; but other than Hindus - those who are vegetarians at their own will (hindus couldn't eat cow meat or something right) I really admire them. How can anyone survive without chicken, the greatest food ever?

eggplant is the greatest thing ever

my mom peels it and puts some mayo-ketchup-garlic sause on it and then covers it with like 3 kinds of cheese and bakes it, oh and she adds mushrooms to that too

    really good

or you can just fry them up and serve them with mayo+garlic sause
