I don't know what the fuss is all about, it makes perfect sense to me. We already have one of the brigtest Italian football players in Giovinco. VDV is a similar type, plays in the same position. Now why would we spend all this money on a player who would hamper the development of a future star? I like VDV but I think we should spend our money on a player we currently lack.
As for Sisoko, he is tall, strong and has experience despite his age.
Don't forget he can play as a CB as well.
