Van der Vaart: „Kein Kontakt zu Juventus“

(thb) Hamburg.

Verbleib in Hamburg möglich

It basicly says that he hadn't any contact with Juve and he might not leave HSV if good offer from a big club doesn't arrive.

Van der Vaart Won’t Join Juve – Ranieri

Juventus Coach Claudio Ranieri does not believe that Hamburg star Rafael van der Vaart will join the club in the summer.

The Bianconeri are days, if not hours, away from completing the deal to sign Liverpool defensive midfielder Momo Sissoko.

This summer the club are expected to purchase an attacking midfielder, and Dutch playmaker Rafael Van der Vaart has been heavily associated.

With young starlet Sebastian Giovinco set to return from his loan spell at Empoli in time for next season, Ranieri believes that Van der Vaart will not be bought.

“Van der Vaart is not how we intend midfielders to be in Italy,” the Tinkerman explained somewhat confusingly.

“I do not believe that Van der Vaart will be joining, therefore there will be no problem of him and Giovinco colliding.”

Van der Vaart revealed earlier today that he has so far had no contact with Bianconeri officials.

"I have had no contact with Juventus" the HSV captain told 'Welt-Online'. "[My future] is all still very open.”

Van der Vaart has been in fine form this season for his club and is currently joint-second top-scorer in the Bundesliga with nine goals.

Why is our coach a babbling idiot?? Giovinco isn't ready for Champions League, there's no way VDV and Gio would "collide"....

VDV and Giovinco wouldnt even collide even if both of them are bought.VDV plays in a more forwardish role than Giovinco, and he should be considered a long term replacement for Del Piero, not Nedved.Seriously though, not buying a player of VDV's talent after his heart his apparently set on a move to Juventus, would be beyond stupid.Giovinco has talent, but he hasnt been exposed to the highest level like Van Der Vaart.Putting all your eggs in the Giovinco basket would be a risk, and it would make the board look extremley stupid if they dont buy Van Der Vaart, and if Giovinco ends up failing afterwards.

I really really hate this board.

I just feel so angry when I read their silly comments and read about the players they fail to sign and the mediocre players they do sign.

You're definitely not the only one. I've been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt... but every single one of their moves that wasn't preordained by Moggi is garbage. They talk big, then they contradict their big talk, then they screw up buying the big player and end up with what is clearly a consolation prize.

Over here,i think the board is interested in VDV.Ranieri is apparently not interested in him,or he's trying to divert attention away from the whole issue so the board can carry out the deal quietly.I hope its the latter. If Ranieri is actually the one that is the stumbling block here, then i say fuck him.Dont blame the board.blame this dick of a manager.

Serie A - Juve cool on Van der Vaart
Eurosport - Fri, 11 Jan 13:26:00 2008

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri has poured cold water on transfer rumours linking his club with a move for highly-rated Hamburg midfielder Rafael van der Vaart.

The Netherlands international almost moved to Valencia in the close season before his club blocked the move and he has been touting himself around Europe's top clubs all season.

Following recent speculation linking him to Juve, van der Vaart made it clear he wants away from Hamburg, but Ranieri seems less than keen on a move for the player.

"Van der Vaart is not a central midfielder in the sense that we understand here in Italy," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

Juve are also believed to be tracking Italian under-21 playmaker Sebastian Giovinco, who plays for Empoli, and the talk in Turin has been about whether or not Ranieri could accommodate both players in his team.

"I don't think van der Vaart will come but nonetheless there would be no problem playing him and Giovinco together," he added.

That news will be a blow to van der Vaart who seemed to be lining himself up for a move to Turin last week when he revealed he had rejected a new contract offer at Hamburg.

"My dream of playing in a very big club is great. And if I tie myself to Hamburg until 2012 it would be too long for me," he said.

"There isn't an official offer. I've heard that Juve are interested and I can imagine myself playing there."
