One of JuventusMania.net members went to VDV after yesterday match and give him a juventus shirt written on it " Van der vaart welcome to Juventus" .

Van der Vaart sign the shirt and was so glad to did that .

He said that Van der vaart was very happy when he saw the shirt , the member(Majedovic) said to Van der Vaart , "please join Juve , we are waiting for you there " .
VDV laughed then said OK , Ok .

then , HSV President came and saw Majedovic with VDV with Juve shirt on thier hands , and he told Majedovic that he will not let VDV joins Juve :faq1:

then VDV went to the bus and saw Majedovic outside with the Juve shirt , VDV gives his thumb up to Majedovic :rulz:

Bravo, will post this over at J1897. ;)

I hope we seal this deal soon, Summer move is fine, although I think our current priority for the January transfer is a person who can play Attacking Central Midfielder or Left winger....

I really dont understand if we buy Sissoko now..I don't think he'll add anything to our game...atleast not now (being optimistic)...

I Will Not Get Greedy On You, Van Der Vaart Reassures HSV

Wantaway Hamburger SV star Rafael Van Der Vaart has reassured his club that he will not exercise a clause that would see him leave with minimal compensation at the end of the season.

The Bundesliga side are already resigned to losing the Dutch playmaker to one of Europe's elite – most likely Juventus – after he turned down a 4m euro a year contract extension, but they will have breathed a sigh of relief after his latest assurances.

According to Paragraph 17 of the FIFA statutes, a player can buy himself out of a contract after three completed seasons. His club would then receive an amount in value of the salary remaining to him, which in Van der Vaart's case would be 4m euro – less than a third of what HSV are expected to receive from the almost inevitable sale of the 24-year-old come next summer.

When pressed about the possibility of him exercising this right, Van Der Vaart said: "That will definitely not happen. Paragraph 17 is not an option for me".

Not to discourage you, but if we have to go by Ranieri's words, we might have to forget about VdV. Ranieri says VdV isn't a midfielder, but a forward and he does not beleive in his arrival. He also doesn't want a duplicate to Giovinco, when he returns.

I do agree with him to a certain extent about that one.

I actually think Vlatko is right..sometimes he does look more like a supporting striker than an attacking midfielder to me.
You mean Ranieri is right. ;)

VDV is like Totti, can play in midfield but most effective playing a little further up-front. The goals he scored speak for themselves.

so bottom line : he is a good player...isn't that reason enough to sign him? we have very few creative players after Ale, Camo Neddy and perhaps Tiago
