Rafael ready for Juve

Dutch midfield star Rafael Van Der Vaart has admitted that he would welcome any offer from Juventus this summer.

The Hamburg ace is joint top scorer in the Bundesliga alongside Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose after hitting nine goals so far this term.

Van Der Vaart is under contract with the Rothosen until 2010, but he has a clause in his deal that allows him to leave for just £700,000 in 2009.

“I will only leave for a big club, like Juventus for example,” he told Voetbal International.

“I know that they are interested and if the Bianconeri were to make me a concrete offer, I would consider it very carefully. I think that Hamburg would be ready to discuss terms with them.”

Inter are also reportedly tracking the 24-year-old and could start a bidding war come June.

One doesn't necessarily exclude the other. We could see something like this in two years time:

Nocerino - Marchisio - van der Vaart
Giovinco

Or

Nocerino - Marchisio
X - van der Vaart - Giovinco

1st one.... he doesn't play in that position. He isn't similar to Nedved.

2nd one... thats a possibilty but I wouldn't want that. Marchisio isn't half the player Zanetti is aswell.

I hate buying players when we don't really need. We need creative player other than Alex...fine there's Gio. Give him a chance let him play behind attackers or anywhere that suits him.

But buying Diego(though I'm a big fan of him) or VDV or any player alongside getting back Gio isn't good Idea.

Mauro Camoranesi will be back, Iaquinta has been superb, Nedved could extend for another year and play in CL. I don't know what chances VDV has of playing If we get him and we take back Gio. But one thing for sure is that I wouldn't want to see VDV while Gio is watching him from the bench.

I still think we definitely have room for someone like Rafael especially since Giovinco has a lot of room to develop. We can't expect him to be our sole creative force in midfield. This is a possibility for next season:

Nocerino/Marchisio - Zanetti
Camoranesi - van der Vaart - Iaquinta/Giovinco
Trez

but that means del piero is on the bench...thats why it doesnt work for him

Wonder Fart/Wart is my guess.

The only way to play both VdV and Giovinco is if we use the Christmass tree, kinda like what Milan played in CL last year or France played at the world cup.
But in that case, even though we'll have VDV and Giovinco where they'll be most usefull (they work better behind the striker, not as wingers), we lose both Del Piero and Iaquinta and we lose Camoranesi on the wings and we'll have to play him in the same line with Nocerino and Zanetti. Plus we'll need much bigger contribution from the full backs in attack.

........Camoranesi-Nocerino-Zanetti.....
...........Van der Vaart- Giovinco.......
......................Trezeguet...............

the question here is

is giovinco really ready or good enough to start for a club like juve yet?
He is more than good enough and i think he's ready.
We'll get the answer on "is he ready" question in a month at most because Malesani finally gave him a chance to start the matches (and we've seen what happened. 2:1 against us and 4:1 trashing of Cagliari).
The only thing he needs to be ready is his confidence. He's getting more and more confident from what i could've seen. In a month or two his confidence should be sky high.
