ure right but we lost our whole defence and central MF last season and it is clear that the players we have there right now are not gonna cut it in Serie A...so i think replacements need to be found
Obviously we need some major adjustments to the defence/midfield department, but I personally think it would be worth it to only add a few players at a time (maybe some more in january) and integrate them into a solid team, just aspiring to attain a mid-table position this year.

All over these boards I'm seeing people posting formations with 8 brand new players in the starting line up, and I can't see that possibly working out unless you had God ad the manager (or jose mourinho).

If we invest in a lineup full of top-class players, and don't come in the top 4, we're fucking ourselves financially. Now is a time when we really could have used Capello's boring but effective tactics. You all hated him, but the guy did know how win leagues...

You misread my post. I meant look at Inter's history as an example of what NOT to do. Every year, they buy a multitude of new talent, throw it together, and achieve fuck all. It's maintaining a solid core of players, a la milan and juve, that achieves success. Talent is only half the formula.
Ok, than we're on the same page. But this year would be very different from others, because we are in need of new players, and you can never see how new players wil succeed. That's why I don't except too much of this season. Well, not in order of the scudetto or something.
The only wish I have is that we will beat Inter, preferably with 5-0

We should make some sort of deal with all the teams to pay them a 1 time fee of ~1 mil euro each to take their top players just for our 2 games against inter :D

Juve Close To Van der Vaart, Reveals Nedved

The Czech Republic player declared that the Bianconeri want to have the young Hamburger player take the role of play maker in the team.

Pavel Nedved will probably make many Juventus fans happy with the interview he gave to the German daily newspaper 'Bild', where he revealed the transfer market plans of the Old Lady.

Apparently, the main target is Rafael Van der Vaart, and his transfer to Turin is imminent according to the former Golden Ball winner.

"Juventus is close to Rafael Van der Vaart, they want to hand him the play making duties," revealed Nedved during the interview with 'Bild'.

The 24-year-old Dutch midfielder, who has been extremely inspirational for Hamburger since he joined the German club from Ajax two years ago, is worth 10 million Euros, and the Bianconeri do not want to lose out on this opportunity.

If Van der Vaart joins Juventus, he will be able to face his former ‘enemy’ Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is currently playing with bitter rivals Inter after leaving the Old Lady last season following their demotion to Serie B.
