Graham ain't here yet so I'll substitute for him for the time being. USB 1.1 is the original standard that gives rather lame transfer speeds. Then comes Apple with Firewire (IEEE 1394) that gives you a couple of MB/s and think they're all cool and this is gonna be a big hit. But it's not widely adopted because USB 2.0 is released soon after that, which is both faster than Firewire and more compatible (cause you can still use USB 1.1 with the newer hardware).

Q1: How fast is USB?
A1: High speed USB products have a design data rate of 480 Mb/s. Full speed USB devices signal at 12Mb/s, while low speed devices use a 1.5Mb/s subchannel.

Q2: How does this compare to other connections used with PCs and workstations?
A2: Here's a quick list of the maximum transfer rates for various connections in megabits (Mb) and megabytes (MB) per second:

serial port: 115kbits/s (.115Mbits/s)

standard parallel port: 115kBYTES/s (.115MBYTES/s)
Original USB: 12Mbits/s (1.5MBYTES/s)
ECP/EPP parallel port: 3MBYTES/s
IDE: 3.3-16.7MBYTES/s
SCSI-1: 5MBYTES/s
SCSI-2 (Fast SCSI, Fast Narrow SCSI): 10MBYTES/s
Fast Wide SCSI (Wide SCSI): 20MBYTES/s
Ultra SCSI (SCSI-3, Fast-20, Ultra Narrow): 20MBYTES/s
UltraIDE: 33MBYTES/s
Wide Ultra SCSI (Fast Wide 20): 40MBYTES/s
Ultra2 SCSI: 40MBYTES/s
IEEE-1394: 100-400Mbits/s (12.5--50MBYTES/s)
Hi-Speed USB: 480Mbits/s
Wide Ultra2 SCSI: 80MBYTES/s
Ultra3 SCSI: 80MBYTES/s
Wide Ultra3 SCSI: 160MBYTES/s
FC-AL Fiber Channel: 100-400MBYTES/s

The fastest connection commonly found on PCs is UltraIDE, which is used for hard drives and CD-ROMs.

Majed........do u know how I can get rid of any traces of my old WE 7 data? It seems like it's screwing up the line-up in the Master League Mode, which is the only mode I saved my game in. It works fine in other modes...........I'm getting names like Fluminese, 7Billy, players with transparent feet..........some weird shit!!

I've uninstalled and erased the whole Konami directory and it still screws up. :(

    sorry can't help there...

about the transparent feet, try playing with the 3d settings. i dont know for sure.
like i said, i'm sorry, it just hit me in the face that the patch might be for the WE7i Japan!!

It really pisses me off why Konami has two different products with the same name!! terrible Marketing.. they should know that the products that they make for Japan leak to the rest of the world.

Thanks a lot.....I guess I don't have to worry then since USB 2.0 devices are compatible with USB 1.1, right?
1.1 works with 2.0, 2.0 does not work with 1.1. As you would expect though. :)

Say the controller on your motherboard only supports 1.1 while you have a digicam that's 2.0 then you only get slowest transfer speed.
