No, $75 for the phone and no contracts or anything, its a pay-as-you-go thing -and they have phones as low as 59.99 (I just read that!!)

What about Sprint?
Oh ok. With GSM phones there is a huge variety- $50 to $1000 phones. Then you just get a sim card from any GSM provider, stick it into your phone and use it.

THen if you don't like the phone- buy another phone, or borrow one from a friend, stick your card in and use it.

As far as I know Sprint does not have GSM.

Buy on AliExpress.com

You sure you want CDMA? Not trying to change your mind but may I ask why? Better reception?

Elnur_E65, what kind of phone can you get for $1000?

CDMA has better reception here and the CDMA carrier is used by way more people so I get better deals when calling people that have my same carrier

For $1000 you can probably get a 5G phone with like 5.0 megapixel camera, way fast Internet, etc.

I am on K10's side here. GSM is better IMO.

Sony Eriksson T900 was $900 about a month ago. Nokia Communicator is more than that, I am sure.

In that case, go for CDMA. If you ever plan to stay in the US for like a year or more and just want a phone, nothing to fancy, you can get one for free, but with one year contracts and all.

In my case, I didn't want any contract and the phone price raised quite a bit. For example, the LG 1150 was $119 with a two year contract. Without any contract, I payed $210 for it.

The Motorola V300 I think was around the same thing.

The V300 already has AOL IM on it. You can get MSN though but you have to configure it.

Pretty cool feature. They are making these phones like mini computers these days.

What I like about the V300 is that you can play mp3s as your ringtone.

Really? I will use those annoying pholyphonic (or whatever) tones, since theyre quite new here and almost no one has them, so I wanna see how they are :D I will feel very advanced!

Is it easy to configure the MSN Messenger thing?

About a year ago I bought a Sony T610 phone back in Azerbaijan. And guess what, it said T-Mobile on it, and it had all the US paperwork- the phone was supposed to be sold on the US market. It even had an American plug in the package!

How did it end up 6,000 miles halfway around the world- I don't know.

lol. It all worked out for T mobile then :D
It did work out for T mobile, but not for A Elnur.

If I didn't have a phone and signed up for a plan I am on right now- I could have gotten exactly the same phone for free (they have a promotion).

So technically, I could have sold my phone in Azerbaijan and could have gotten one exactly like that here :)
