Do British tabloid newspaper publications represent protests differently based on whether they are domestic of foreign?
Introduction
Protest is one of the oldest and most important means of political communication, with historical accounts recording protests since the beginning of the democratic system in the ancient civilisations. Protest also remains one of the few methods of non-mediatized political communication. Protest allows for large groups to demonstrate ideologies directly to a government and they play an extremely important role in shaping societal views on the issues being protested. The history of protests demonstrates how important they are with the Plebeian protests of 494 BC in Rome, the Civil Rights movement after 1955 in the US, protests Egypt throughout the 20th and 21st centuries and Libya in 2011 all resulting in major political upheaval.
From my understanding of how protest is represent I believe that British tabloid newspaper publications consistently represent domestic protests negatively whilst representing foreign protests positively, whilst Broadsheet publications represent both objectively. I believe this is an important issue to study as tabloid publications have the largest circulation in Britain and as a result of this their representations of protest will shape the public discourse of one of the most important methods of political communication.

I've just officially finished my final year as of today in Bachelor of Civil Engineering hons at University of Melbourne. I don't think there's anyone else doing civil engineering here so won't bother about discussing the course.
In any case, I am more excited about graduating, and terrified as well as clueless about what to do next. All my friends from other courses seem to take graduation pretty lightly and have a rather free schedule in uni, but I honestly think I will cry when I have that damned certificate in my hand, just because of all the blood, sweat, tears, and all nighters pulled throughout.

Well, at my university, you have to choose a main area (Europe, America, Asia/Africa, Global/Thematic), do most of your courses in that are and you have to also take a few courses in the other areas.
With the MA, you specialize, in a period for example Medieval Christendom or Ancient Rome. With the PhD, it's even more specialized as it is usually an event(the Crusades for example).
