Seems all the more ironic that Keir Starmer was head of the crown prosecution when Jimmy Saville was with underage girls and he did nothing to stop him.

Not as far as I'm aware (though not followed the news in the last month, been too busy, and couldn't find it anywhere).
AFAIK the findings of the latest enquiry were published in 2022, finding that the situation across the country was not close to adequately set up to prevent abuse. The head of the relevant body has made suggestions to improve procedures etc and the government has responded positively to the suggestions.
On this note, I read that Reform had donations of only £70k in their last records. Nick Candy is a billionaire who has just come on board as party treasurer, pledging to donate "seven figures", so shows what a difference it would make.
Raises the question how often this already happened in the past but also exposes how quick they want to change the rules of the game when it is a billionaire who isn’t convenient for the establishment.

once again you're not questioning putin, xi or their lapdogs (elmo & trump) but democratically elected establishments who don't welcome russian influence
raises the question why elmo never criticized russia or china. as a warrior of free speech he should be all over communist dictatorships, and he clearly doesn't mind either. "interesting", isn't it
Its a huge legal barrier to show they DONT want to be an oligarchy run lobbyist democracy like its the worlds nr 1 super power. So that law directly minimises the influence of legalised lobbyist bribery.
I mean the opposite is the US, it's become so blatant and open that they litterally legalising outright bribery to politicians and elected judges.
