Isn't strange the timing of this? Why resurface this now?
Because Elon musk is stoking the far right in the UK and the obvious place to start is with the established bangers

Someone make that loony shut the fuck up.

He should be limited to fucking up the US.
If he's such a genius why doesnt he go and fix the corruption blighting South Africa...oh wait

Seems all the more ironic that Keir Starmer was head of the crown prosecution when Jimmy Saville was with underage girls and he did nothing to stop him.
That's not what irony is. I see you still don't understand what a double negative is either with that avatar.

And they refused a new public inquiry which sparked all the outrage now, right?
Not as far as I'm aware (though not followed the news in the last month, been too busy, and couldn't find it anywhere).

AFAIK the findings of the latest enquiry were published in 2022, finding that the situation across the country was not close to adequately set up to prevent abuse. The head of the relevant body has made suggestions to improve procedures etc and the government has responded positively to the suggestions.

Raises the question how often this already happened in the past but also exposes how quick they want to change the rules of the game when it is a billionaire who isn’t convenient for the establishment.
yeah of course

once again you're not questioning putin, xi or their lapdogs (elmo & trump) but democratically elected establishments who don't welcome russian influence

raises the question why elmo never criticized russia or china. as a warrior of free speech he should be all over communist dictatorships, and he clearly doesn't mind either. "interesting", isn't it

Lol like this shit can stop the money flow and bribes.
Its a huge legal barrier to show they DONT want to be an oligarchy run lobbyist democracy like its the worlds nr 1 super power. So that law directly minimises the influence of legalised lobbyist bribery.

I mean the opposite is the US, it's become so blatant and open that they litterally legalising outright bribery to politicians and elected judges.

This is what people like Elon want everywhere.

For someone who votes left (think I read that somewhere, correct me if I'm wrong) you share a lot of ideas with the right, and not just in this case.

seems like a good law either way. No corporation or wealthy individual should be able to give large amounts to buy elections
