I know that we should get rid of thoose players, but not until we find good replacement for them which we didn't. From the beginning we knew that we lacked depth at the defense and we didn't do anything.

Andrade and Criscito are good replacements though. The only reason why Boumsong or Zebina didnt leave was because no one would pay them their wages...the club had to sell or get rid of what they could.

But did we not just renew Zebinas contract in the summer?

If we wanted rid of him it would be strange to offer him a new deal no?

Yeah but I couldnt fault our managment there as I think Zebina is a decent player.

He may not be world class but hes an experienced Defender who offers a physical presence at the back.

Lets just say I rate him higher than Wayne Bridge or Wes Brown!
To me Zebina was more than decent this season. I don't understand why people bash him all the time!
In our current squad only Grygera is better than him as RB.

I wouldn't disagree that he is better than them.

I don't rate Zebina.

He makes too many silly mistakes due to poor positioning and a lack of concentration.

On his day he is good but is still likely to make one mistake per game, which may or may not lead to a goal.

I fear he will get shown up more this season due to not playing beside top class CBs like we used to have.

The problem isn't the fee, but what Fiorentina will demand on, and probably more add-ons will be there when we require his services since we are not in good terms with Fiorentina, so don't get your hopes up

Not in good terms!!! Secco will give them Buffon next summer if he were allowed to do so.
Fiorentina is smarting from the Chiellini + Maresca + Miccoli loss, and right now their now is dangerous, and have plenty of youngsters, they will probably ask for more

Fiorentina wanted to snatch Nocerino from us, but luckily Secco made a call just in time to get him back, or else we can say farewell to him as well. And Fiorentina will just take advantage again if given the chance.

AC MILAN, Tracking Ujfalusi

Is a dark crisis in Milan home. There are non only lack of results and discussion between Kakà and Ancelotti, yesterday has raised Dario Simic problems: the Croatian defender, who is unable to find place even Kaladze injury and less Cafù performance, has declared that he will go away to January.
Seems that Milan's management are searching a reinforce for defense: the most probable names are "Viola"'s Ujfalusi and Chelsea's portuguese Carvalho.
Della Valle seem to be disposed to renew the deal to Czech defender, considered that the player at the season end could come free to zero cost, and to January Viola management could yield to a "decent" bid of Milan, rather than not have anything at June.

PREM PAIR LINKED WITH UJFALUSI

Tomas Ujfalusi's agent Dalibor Lacina has revealed eight clubs are currently tracking the Fiorentina defender, with Blackburn and Tottenham reported to be among them.

The Czech Republic international was previously linked with a move to Liverpool, but Lacina claims he turned down the enquiry.

Ujfalusi's contract with La Viola is set to expire in the summer, and reports in Italy suggest Tottenham, Blackburn, Sevilla, Zenit St Petersburg, AC Milan, Juventus, Internazionale and Bayern Munich have all made offers.

Lacina confirmed the approaches, but insisted that the 29-year-old will not be leaving the Serie A side in January.

"At this moment we are registering approximately eight specific offers from top clubs. The reality is though that Tomas Ujfalusi will fulfil his contract at Fiorentina," Lacina said.

"The offers of course are there but we will start discussions when Ujfalusi's contract expires. And it is not a certain if Tomas will leave Fiorentina at all."
