I don't know. It's hard to blame Klinsmann for the lack of talent. You look at fools like Bradley who came back to MLS and then suddenly fell below potential, then the inability to nature homegrown talent, and you have to say it's just completely backwards here. Never thought I would say this, but the MLS may be hindering our progress. I didn't think our best players would flock to the MLS; instead, my vision was the MLS would be a stepping stone for some, who would then go elsewhere. But now it's like the Prem for US players, which is disastrous. Throw in the overall lack of talent and we have real problems, those that can't be solved by anybody let alone Jurgen. The change will have to be led at the grassroots where the same old American garbage sports mentality needs reform. My hope is that asinine sports like baseball go away eventually.

Klinsman is the best thing to happen to US soccer in recent history. Idk wtf Dru is going on about with the constant bashing but the guy has been doing great work with the tools he has. And the best part is his project of integrating youth teams into the National program. We will find no one else with his ideas, abilities, and desire to make US soccer prosper.

I say stick with him even if we're only slightly better. The goal is not to win the World Cup in Russia. The goal is to make us consistent long-term challengers.

Sorry, but I disagree. Landon Donovan is the best thing to happen to U.S. Soccer in recent history.

I'm not expecting him to win us silverware or anything extraordinary but in no regard has the senior team met the reasonable expectations set. U.S. Soccer holistically is no better today than it was when he joined in 2011.

Although this is a single data point, one can see that not much progress has been made in the end result. The federation never needed Klinsmann to come in to setup youth pipelines or staff scouts with a good eye for talent. At the end of the day we are not better off w/ his addition. I truly hope our academies and pipelines do allure, secure, develop and deliver prime talent which translates to the senior squad eventually. But we don't need Klinsmann to make that happen since he can't get past calling up Becks, Zusi, and Wondo. This is what you get when you bring an Interista. The joke is on the U.S.

And now I'm glad to see that he's rumored to take over for Koeman at Southampton.
