I don't know, Del Piero's one of very few players who are unlikely to do such a thing. I'm not holding this against Henry or anything, I perfectly understand him and it's not his job to uphold the rules anyway. All I'm saying is that your example is a bit unfortunate.

The majority of the players would do it. And it was never even certain that the Irish were going to the World Cup. They were robbed of a chance of going to the World Cup, that much is true, but nothing more than that.

You have to understand though that Henry is considered an arrogant Frenchie. And an arrogant frog robbing the Irish, who for some reason are liked all over the globe, is something a lot of people can't handle. It may not be as obvious as calling someone nigger, but there is some form of racism involved here too.
