Bullshit.

He's not the angel you make him out to be, if a player dives, then he can handball too. If the situation arises, he probably would do the same as Henry, and if that happened, you would be defending him rather than condemning him. You're just lucky it didn't happen. You'd see that you would act the same way as you say Andy is right now.

God i hope he scores a goal with his hand this season :D
You are just imagining things, like always :D

We will talk when it happens, but it won't ;)

Ale is not as low as players like Maradona, Messi or Henry.

How did Del Piero score 375 goals? Do these numbers include friendlies too?

Because according to the numbers i have, Henry scored more league goals, more goals in Europe and more goals for his NT ;)

Tough call really. While Del Piero does go down easily, he never dives as blatantly as Henry. And an intentional handball.. I don't know, Del Piero's one of very few players who are unlikely to do such a thing. I'm not holding this against Henry or anything, I perfectly understand him and it's not his job to uphold the rules anyway. All I'm saying is that your example is a bit unfortunate.

Wrong about what? I have every reason to dislike G Rossi.

I really hate George Bush, but he is right about one thing. "You're either with us, or you're against us."

I hope his family gets deported.
That is quite probably the most retarded thing anyone has ever said on this forum. It just doesn't work that way. It never has and it never will.

Henry has become a serial diver at Barcelona, that much is true, he rarely used to dive when he was with us.

As for Del Piero, he isn't what you'd call a "diver" thats true. But he has done it on occasion, my logic is, if he has deceived or attempted to deceive the referee by diving once, i do not see why he wouldn't use his hand too.

What i'm saying is, i find it hard to believe in his supposedly moral superiority. Are you telling me, that if he had the chance to win the league for Juventus by a handball, he wouldn't do it. I know its all hypothetical but i personally doubt it.

I don't know if he'd do it or not. But he is one of the few players who might not to do it. Which is why your example was unfortunate. But like I said, I don't blame Henry at all and I think what he did is perfectly understandable. The Irish IMHO are being crybabies. Imagine the same thing happening to Spain. Just imagine Spain filing a complaint and still trying to go to the World Cup. Everyone would tell them to fuck off. People would probably throw in a racist insult or two. But because it's the Irish, such loveable fellows, everyone feels for them.

That's the reason Henry is hated. Make no mistake.

To be honest i understand people hating Henry for doing what he did, and mostly of course the Irish. I'd definitely hate Thierry if i was Irish.

What i don't understand is how people make it out to sound like Henry is the only player that would do such a thing. Players cheat all the time, its just more in the spotlight in Henry's case because when he cheated, a team didn't get to the WC because of it. But then Fabiano touched the ball with his hand three times before he scored against Ivory Coast and i didn;t see people making much fuss about it.

As for the bolded part; when you put it that way, i agree completely.

I don't agree with comments like Hoori's, where she says, that he would never do such a thing. As in its impossible that he would cheat.

The majority of the players would do it. And it was never even certain that the Irish were going to the World Cup. They were robbed of a chance of going to the World Cup, that much is true, but nothing more than that.

You have to understand though that Henry is considered an arrogant Frenchie. And an arrogant frog robbing the Irish, who for some reason are liked all over the globe, is something a lot of people can't handle. It may not be as obvious as calling someone nigger, but there is some form of racism involved here too.

Add to that the fact that Henry already had the reputation of being a diver and you know he's going to crucified. People can be very dishonest in these things.

I said he would have hit 375 if he had cheated to score like Henry did throughout his finished career :seven:

Ale had only his legs to score :D

People would have said the French weren't good enough. Which is odd, because the game was up for grabs. It's not as if the Irish were actually winning.

It's fucking bullshit. People don't like France, people think Henry's an arrogant bastard. It was the perfect excuse. It's not about whether or not Henry's a cheater. It's about people who were waiting for ANYTHING to happen to be able to call for Henry's head.

I say fuck it. The Irish weren't good enough. Never looked like winning the game.

What are you talking about?

'We' hate him for what he did, there wasn't residual hate towards henry and the French national team beforehand.

If you saw that match and thought France were the better of the two teams you need to get your eyes tested. Ireland were the better team of two remarkably poor teams, and despite the averageness of the side they would have done better than France in the World Cup.

Henry is a cheating cunt plain and simple, loads of footballers are but they didn't do that to the National Team of my country.

I'm Irish I have a right to gripe about him, everybody else can go and shite.

I'm not talking about the Irish hating him. Of course you hate him. You have every right to.

But look at the reactions from other countries. They WANT to hate Henry. And not because of the handball. No, because he's French and because they feel he's arrogant.

What I cannot stand though is that the Irish are suddenly considered to be the nicest players on the planet. Not so long ago Roy Keane was playing for you FFS. If Ireland, who proved nothing during the play off, are knocked out it's a scandal. If France are knocked out, people say it was rough justice. That's what I have a problem with.

Fuck other countries, seriously, it's all a big outrage when something happens that they can't actually change, but when something can be done they're all silent.

Of course Roy Keane was dirty, let's not forget Giles as well kicking lumps out of people but this team, as in the team of the WC qualifiers were, down to a man (and discounting McShane) nothing but honest, hard-working and fair playing footballers.
You kind of need endearing traits when you're shit.
