He plays for Chivas USA which is a rather pathetic team with limited weapons, but even when he plays for the US he fails to show up, so I'm not sure why Anderlecht would choose him.
Maybe because he is available for free and he has a big market behind him (you live in a rather big country :D) so they might also looked into the commercial side of getting an American player.

I guess it just isn't an interesting league to show outside Belgium.
Be honest, when players like Boussoufa, Lukaku, Defour or Jovanovic are the biggest names in the league, then why would a tv station in the US pay for the broadcasting rights.
I'd like to see Defour more, along with other talents. I would have loved to see Gooch play for Standard as well.

Well, then from a business perspective, it is flawed logic. Even if there are tons of Kljestan fans we still won't be able to watch him play in the Beglian League. Nobody shows those matches.

I would also like to see Defour more, he has been injured for 1.5 seasons, spread over the last two season.

True.

Quagliarella should have started’
Friday 25 June, 2010
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis believes Fabio Quagliarella should have started for Italy and hints at possible conspiracy.

Quagliarella came on as a late substitute against Slovakia and almost turned the game on its head, scoring a wonderful goal, as well as having one disallowed and a shot cleared off the line.

Italy ended up losing 3-2 and finished bottom of their group meaning an ignominious early exit for the World Cup holders.

“Leaving aside what goes on behind closed doors, Lippi’s decisions were very strange. He either no longer understands anything or was influenced.

“What need was there to play Iaquinta for an entire game? Who did that make happy? I hope there wasn’t any kind of influencing.

“Sure – if we carry on in this climate of suspicion – it makes me think that the US’s last minute qualification was an incredible advert to popularise 'soccer’ in the States.

“Lippi should have made Quagliarella play from the beginning. That’s why I think Lippi perhaps had orders not to get out of the group. It seems absurd but it’s all very strange

:wth:???

This is exactly why clubs like Palermo and Napoli will never win anything...they are run by retards.

I think so too. Despite being mightily impressed by him in the WC, i still have my reservations, as we've seen, many players who haven't been consistent or good enough at club level have excelled in this WC. I don't really know Bradley beyond his performances for the US NT, so i don't know if he really is that good, or if he's just another of those one time tournament wonders.

Yeah, I can't say I have seen much of him besides the WC either, but he does give me the impression of being the kind of guy who just does not give up, no matter the circumstances. Which always pleases me.
Couple that with the more than adequate football brain & technique he showed and I can't help but being impressed.

One of the better players this WC imo.

Yep, Henry to Red Bulls. Not bad. At 32 he still has a couple good years left in him. I'm interested to see how much of a difference he could make in that team.

Yeah, they were already decent, but they have been a little light on goalscoring. They only have a +1 GD. With Angel and now Henry up top that's going to be downright scary, but I'm not sold on them being better than the Galaxy.

They really only have Angel to score goals. Henry makes their attack a lot more threatening.

I don't know that they're better than Salt Lake either. But they're certainly in the discussion for best team in the league. Probably surpassing LA next season when Gonzalez and Donovan leave.

He did very will with Herenveen in the Dutch league (16lg gls; 2 con gls) in 2007/2008 and then moved to the Bundesliga with Gladbach where he's had to play a different role. It was frustrating for him at first and he got benched, but seems to have figured things out. Scored against Bayern if that helps.

I think he's linked with Tottenham and Blackpool as well.

If he played to his best, i think he might even start. We play with a 3 man midfield, Cesc and Song are guaranteed starters, so Bradley would be competing with Denilson and Diaby. Not exactly tough competition.
