I don't really no. They also have Gerald Sibon who is ancient but takes a decent free kick. I wonder what oldies we have on our OT?
Sibon hasn't even received one cap for Holland. :wth:

If I recall correctly, McBride is the only oldie we have on the side, but let me see if I can find the squad list.

Zippo,he's one of them wannabes that deny their roots, anyway he already made his decision to play for USA.
I thought so. That's pretty sad.
Now, how is Adu playing for the US pretty sad? His mother wanted to come to this country and Freddy was able to get most of his footballing education here. So tell me... why is it sad? His mom probably wanted him to play for the USA considering they emigrated to the country. Overall, the player wants to play for the US and he's happy in doing so. That's all that matters.

Well he's listed as an over 23 player. Chivas has him listed as Birthday 9/23/1984. So I guess he's borderline or something?
I'm not sure, but I think he makes the age limit. It was my understanding that we only had one player above the limit and that was McBride, but if Parkhurst is in there...

    Fuck him.

I read that in Novac's interview with US soccer. I don't know, maybe it was a misquote.

What about Owen Hargreaves playing for England? He was born in Calgary and didn't leave Canada until he was 16 (older than Rossi)!! That bastard!! He obviously can't claim the Brett Hull defense either (getting cut from team Canada, and then latching on to the USA).

Were never going to have any quality here if the players jet... Soccer has been played in Canada since the late Nineteenth century, and we still have next to no players. Goddam snow. Although not where I live.

At least it looks like we'll get a couple more teams during the next 3-5 years, when the MLS expands further... need that exposure.

I understand that players who take this route want to win - and I suppose that a guy like Hargreaves, in football crazy England will get as much or more adulation then he would in Canada... but players like him have a chance to BUILD football here. That would be pretty special too... Canadians would always remember you....

Anyways, i just love to bitch, and yes, I am a bit of a hypocrite. I must admit that I wasn't talking ANY shit about Camo while cheering Italy to World Cup glory...

Vancouver will get an MLS team pretty soon. That's not a bad decision really. The support that Toronto has shown clearly is something great for the game in North America, so I'm sure Vancouver and Montreal would succeed as well.
