I am not saying that because of what happened in Iraq, not at all.. We have fanatic sunnis here, and specially "ikhwan muslmeen" that tried to take the control of the country once, and you know how it ended, they were massacred by the government. There are still a lot of them, who hates us with passion, and they make troubles with Non-Muslims or non-Arabs a lot.

Durin Hafez Al Asad time, no one dared to make these troubles, but now it is increasing, the security is not strong as before. For example last year, there were fanatics who attacked Christian tombs, they destroyed most of them and broke all the crosses. See? You don't hear these on news, the government keeps it low. Alawis are not fanatics, thanx God, for that they are against these and punish very hard. If the leaders were fanatic Sunnis, the ones who try to take control for decades, the story would have been so different, very similar to Iraqis..

Be sure I am only talking about fanatics, and not Sunnis in general..

It's not as bright as you think it is Abed. Turkey is going backward, you should ask the Turks. of course not their supporters.

Erdogan is the biggest extremist, everyone knows how extremist he is in Turkey. His speeches are all over internet, youtube. I myself remember one I saw few years back, like 15 years ago, he was telling in mosque "God will ask you three times "what is your religion", if you answer Al hamdulillah I am Muslim" he will say pass to heaven, and the rest will burn in hell".. How about that? you think he changed? :D

Many examples I can give you that he is trying to take the country backward, to something similar of what Iran or Saudi Arabia is. And this image you are seeing as a role model for other Islam world, isn't made by him, but Turkey was like this for decades. Syria isn't much different to be honest, and that is for decades too..

you don't have to tell these to me man, I know, and there isn't any problem from our side neither, if there was, no one would stay here right? I am talking about the fanatics, just telling you how horrible would be if they take the control.
I have to comment on two things, Snoop.

1- I felt that you think that the Alawis are Muslims. :shifty:

2- About what Erdogan said in the mosque years ago, well, each follower for any religion thinks that he is right and that he will go to heaven. As long as he does not send the others to hell himself, I think he is ok, whether the speaker is Erdogan, Obama or Miss Olive.

Hi Rebel,

Do you know if Kuwait ruler doling money to people is also related to these ?
Well, I heard about it this morning. I think it has some relation as he promised them with a total of $ 4 billion in addition to FOOD SUPPORT for 14 months. So, I think he just wants to decrease the tension there taking in consideration the guy that was tortured to death in the interior ministry prisons there before a week.

Many Arab countries are trying to appear better than others these days using such procedures.

There is difference.

1- Alawis in Syria might be different than the others around the world, and specially Turks. I don't know about other countries, but here in Syria they consider themselves Muslims.

from Wiki:

The Alawis, also known as Alawites, Nusayris and Ansaris (‘Alawīyyah Arabic: علوية‎, Nuṣayrī Arabic: نصيريون‎, and al-Anṣāriyyah) are a prominent minority religious group in Syria who describe themselves as a sect of Shī‘ah Islam.[7][8] Alawis are distinct from the Turkish-based Alevi religious sect, although the terms share similar etymologies.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alawi

2- Sure it is ok, but when you see the others as infidels, or if you bring what you think to low, like he already started, then that is a problem!

This evening in Algeria, a guy has stabbed himself with a dagger once a policeman stopped his car and fined him for traffic reasons.:sergio:

In Tunisia, the opposition says that the new government is fake.

Erdogan is a chance for whole geography. Those phrases you quoted are what every Muslim believe so that doesn't make him extremist. He has sense of justice and compassion unlike the other two opposition party. You know what would happen if one of those two takeover the country. Would like the ideology which killed Hrant Dink ruling Türkiye?

Alkol yasağı falan yok bu arada. Nereden dinliyorsun bilmiyorum ama avrupa ve amerika'da var olan yasalar uygulamaya konuyor.

    Good luck, brothers.

Here, the government is trying to exploit the qualification of the national team in Asia Cup to make people forget about their concerns. It will not last for ever though.

Not every Muslim think that way.

As for the Dink part, that ideology belongs to MHP, milliyetcilik.. Alcohol ban isn't for every place, but it is spreading. Maybe rarely in Istanbul, but you know what happened once, bi sergide alkol iciyorlar diye, muhalledekiler neler yaptilar onlara, kendi kafalarindan yapmadilar herhalde..

Sense of justice? Are you fucking insane? Erdogan first of all is just a typical patriotic idiot, every country may get one from time to time when the population is ignorant.. The man said the Turks integrating and participating in the German society is a crime and it was conflicting with human rights. He claims the minority in Germany should be more protected and in Köln he even said that there should be Turkish schools in Germany yet do Christians and other minority's in Turkey have any of these things? How come muslims in Europe should be so protected in terms of their culture and christians in turkey barely have human rights and are being terrorised/discriminated. He's like an American president but then a muslim.

Don't know if you understand German but Wulff said it perfectly here how paradoxal Erdogan is.

The guy is an idiot and I hope he stays out of Europe.

Doğru CHP milliyetçi değil, ırkçı. Danıştay saldırısını tezgahlayanlar, Dink'i öldürenler. Avukatları kim? Sergide değil sokağın ortasında içiyorlardı, mahalledekilerin yaptığını Erdoğan'a nasıl bağlıyorsun? Erdoğan olmasa da ailelerin yürüdüğü bir sokakta içip azanlar tepki çeker.

    Yes, they have.

I don't support their action but içip ona buna sarkanlardan bahsediyorum.

nah you are exaggerating, nothing like that happened then, no one was totally drunk, they were just having a glass of wine or two that's it.

When I meant Bahceli, I meant "ulkuculer" did you forget how that kid yelled "yasasin buyuk birlik partisi"? when he was arrested, not ogun samast, but the one who gave him the gun.

    Update:

The burning continues...The number of Egyptians burning themselves became four, one of them has passed away in Alexandria.

In Algeria, another guy has burnt himself today.

Many parties in Tunisia refuse to participate in the new government because of the existence of the ruling party's control on it.

The new president and prime minister decide to resign from the ruling party to try to prove to people that they have changed.

The ruling party dimsisses the previous dictator from its membership.

The sister of the previous dictator died as a result of a stroke.

More speculations say that Egypt is the next candidate to witness similar events to what happened in Tunisia.
