Ok, this is my point:

What the fuck is the good of a nutmeg if immediately after he fell down and gave away the ball?

I don't care how many tricks he does if they don't accomplish shit. There's a difference between being entertaining and playing well....what did he do to benefit the team by performing a nutmeg?

Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, he's one of my favorite players ever, I just don't like seeing him keep playing and becoming useless, I'd rather that he retire on top. Nedved does much more for the team in his older years than Del Piero does, IMO.
I didn't see the game, but he performed well against Roma with a goal and an assist. He scored 20 goals last season so DP's definitely valuable to our team.

Off topic : Please someone give me that article regarding DP's move to EPL, thanks
Common man , seriously , do you think del piero is even worth 500 dollars ? Juve are practically trying to give him away .

It's official man , here's the article .

___________________________________________________________________

Juventus captain Alessandro Del piero has put an end to his illustrious carreer at juventus and is heading to the premier league to play for Roy keane's Sunderland . Alessandro del piero was treated badly by the juventus management and even asked them to leave .

This may come as a shock for most juventus fans but their beloved captain has left the old lady . The fee is said to be from 500 to 550 dollars and both club and both Del piero's and Sunderland's manager have agreed on personal terms .

Del piero will be sign a 3 year contract worth 12 million euros a year . Some believe that this was the reason Del piero has agreed to move on .
His replacement will be Rochi from Lazio who is on great form .

I watched the whole match tonight and there are plenty of positives to take. The team is starting to gel, and should properly start playing a few games into the season. Milan were more organised and always looked like stepping up a gear, but thats the way they play against everyone. Once we gel and become more confident, this tie will be more evenly matched.

Buffon: Did not have much to do, held crosses well, not to blame for goals at close range. Made a HUGE error towards the end that gilardino could really have humiliated him on.

Grygera: Solid today, made good tackels and showed committment, he should be first-choice.

Andrade-Criscito: Both are good on the ball, and are becoming more confident together. They are both great tacklers and can read the game, but they cannot deal with crosses too well yet, Their aerial work needs to improve. Andrade should have scored on DP's cross.

Molinaro: Btter today, good on defense, passing was good. Good cover for Chiellini who is an obvious starter for me. Needs to impose himself more.

Nedved: Looked agitated in the first half and was making mistakes. Was inspired in the second half and i get the impression even when he plays bad, he is dangerous. Teams fear him, his committment is terrific and his passing and shooting are a danger. He is STILL the man

Almiron: Such an exciting prospect. His passing is excellent and his vision is better. Once he tunes in to the team and we gel as a side he will become crucial. Still liable to lose concentration, but should get better and better.

Nocerino: Some erratic fouls but that is largely because he is involved so much. He is our gattuso, he is never out of the action. You know when he is on the field. He needs to gain more consistency is his passing, crossing and shooting. Should become a great asset.

Brazzo: Another fighter, always in the action. Today not his best day. Weak crossing and lost some 50-50's. He is pure energy though and i suspect he will be a good player for us this season.

Tiago: Great improvement. His passing and control were evident today and was unlucky not to score a screamer. Milan could not disposses him and most of his passes connected. I expect him to keep improving.

Del Piero: Was producing some magic touches. He didn' t slow us down, he WAS our threat in attack. They had to keep fouling him and Pavel. At times it looked like he kept choosing the most adventurous option, but entertained and stressed the Milan defence.

Iaquinta: He will hold the ball up for us and should prove to be a really interesting different option for us. He is always looking for the pass and doesn't fade like Trezeguet. Had some bad control today and looked like his confidence was down, hopefully he can gain some throughout the season and improve for us.

Palladino: He has great skill and vision and was making great runs. I think he will be a great player for us one day. His touches were good, he can dribble and i think once he learns how to properly finish chances and become a more direct attacking threat, will become a great star. Ahead of Iaquinta in strikers order just now.

Olivera: Piss
Great post, i agree in all, and stop saying that DP is not important, he is the CAPTAIN and still showing great skills, im sure he's gonna play well this season

I'm extremely surprised by what some of you guys keep saying 'bout Ale's performance of tonight's match.I watched the game and Ale was obviously great.he was tired in the last 20-25 minutes of the game and this is just normal.no one should expect to see him play for an entire match in the coming season.

@Seb; Ale wasn't only entertaining.he was very crucial tonight.he had some nice touches and many good passes and I'm also happy for the understanding between him and the other players.he undoubtedly was one of our better players specially in the first half.

OH My God how could i dont know abt this, i thought my friend was joking this afternoon.

I thought JUventus will keep him at least few more years and get him a job as a stuff at least, seeing for what he has done to Juventus. Mann i guess i will never understand this world.

Btw thanks bro.

Saw the game, here`s my resume.

First half was pretty even. Pippo`s goal just before ht was the first mistake by defense, when for some reason grygera and andrade both went towards ambrosini. It was a good header and just too quick for buffon.

Second half was bad though. Milan dominated the midfield, the duo of ambrosini-brocchi was all over tiago-nocerino. To be honest tiago was helpless, almiron is our key in midfield, and i am not so sure tiago place is in the starting XI.

Milan also brought cafu and serginho on the wings who added even more power to wings. To be fair i wouldnt criticize our fullbacks, the problem was that cafu and serginho are one of most attacking minded fullbacks, and without camo and marcionni we had nothing to response on the wings. (the good old days with zambro  )

In attack, as strange as it sounds, we really missed trezeguet ("the man who doesnt do a thing during a match" :p j/k). Iaquinta is just terrible, he really is. Didnt link up with DP at all, and clumsy at times as well. Some people keep insisting he adds something as he plays more wide, but hey, we might have had a player like giuseppe rossi in that position, or even giuly would have been better option. Or any other player. Iaquinta technique is just so poor. (what if during the season trez or dp will be injured for a longer period:scared:).

Basicly milan squad depth is much much better than juve`s. Keep in mind they didnt have kakà, and think when they have ronaldo and pato also in the team. Ofourse its understandable cause they have more tournaments then we.

Hopefully we can manage a top4 finish in the upcoming season, to attract world class players joining our club. There is more then just a playmaker juve should look for.

why on earth both our wingers have to be injured in the same time. :(

Have any of you seen teams that are great on the counter attack? They way they fly on up at full pace and score?

Nedved has the pace and ability to initiate some quick counters but as soon as the ball goes through del piero we're stuck with it on his feet as he takes ages to release the ball.

There's one simple rule to football: The ball travels faster than Del Piero can run.

Yea, he scores goals, he's an important part of our team, that's because he starts every bloody match and gets the ball everytime. I'm sure we could find a more useful player out there.

For DP's slow-yet-skilled style to function, he needs a suited partner for him, and I don't think Trez nor Iaquinta can provide that.

Find a torrent of the game, and count the number of times he lost the ball, and pay attention to how bloody slow our attack is. There's a reason when nedved gets up on the wing with the ball he's only got 1 or 2 guys in the box to cross it to. The difference in teams like milan and barca is their ability to move quickly as a team, not losing attacking efficiency through needless touches

I'm just worried that we're heading for a repeat performance of what I think was 2004...where I was kicking myself everytime Ale got the ball because it was basically a turnover of possession.

There is another scource too .

here this is from calciofootball.com

Sundeland net Alessandro Del piero !

Sunderland sign Del piero for a record low 500 dollars . Sunderland have finally gotten hold of the Azzuri striker after months of trying . Finally , Juventus have given up hope on their aging striker and have decided to let go .

Del piero , who has earned the juventus top scorer award , has now moved on to england where he will earn 12 million euros a year . Nearly three times the salary he is earning at juventus .

Sunderland Boss Roy keane had this to say, " Del piero , well he's a good lad , a little slow and chubby but he could do wonders for us right now . Sunderland is a good place to toughen him up and get him back to his earlier days . 500 dollars ? we were rather lucky to get him for that cheap but Juventus were nearly going to pay us to get rid of him ".
