I just finished watching France get escorted from the Euro's by Greece.

I've watched all of France's games and 1 player was missing from the team- Trez...

Did he even play ??? Did he touch the ball more than once a game ???

France didnt need him, and we most certainly dont, either !!! Not with a talent like Gila out there.....

The irony being that it was perhaps his Euro 2000 performance that got him in a Juve jersey to begin with...

Trez was hardly the only of Les Blues to look poor on the pitch in this tournament, so I cannot fault him for the supporting cast. But he did sport eerie shades of his performance with Juve this past season: he must have had possession less than 2 seconds per game and barely fought his way to get open and make chances.

The only thing that keeps me from demanding the eject button is that he has shown he's capable in the past and he continues to have a pretty good goals-per-game ratio. But he's also been completely aggravating for his spotty and inconsistent play.

Truly is........he refuses to move around and make a connecting pass or two or even get himself open......what a waste of money, especially if he's getting 5 million Euros a year as the new deal was described.

Euro 2004 proved that its not the teams fault for not suppling him enough balls. Hopefully Juve can see that, and we will buy Gilardino, who is the new Vieri. Roma have Cassano, we cant let them have Gilardino too. Add Totti to that, and they Italy's first choice attack.

he has been static of late. france differ to juve and im sure capello will use trez and play a style of football which will see trez score lots and get more involved.

what my concern is that capello may not have the players to play his style. at roma, he had totti and cassano, whereas at juve we have nedved and del piero/miccoli. sure del piero or miccoli are fine, but nedved differs to totti and isnt as creative. so its going to be intereting to see who comes in or what style of football capello will bring to juve.

as long as somebody who can get the job done comes i am happy

Well, at least he made a pass or two, had some decent attempts at goal, and wasted a couple of sitters, but Trez is a target man.......he only found the net because of a defensive blunder and wide open net.....I don't remember him being involved in any play or even having a decent crack at goal. Did he even connect with any headers?

we signed trez b4 euro 2000.

Trez isnt as bad as we all make out...imo he is a bit like the new michael owen.

Offer absoloutly nothing to the play, link up or general creation, jus the odd pass or flick on.

The onyl thing they garuntee is goals...if they get decent service, something le bleu didnt give.

2 dm's didnt work at all.

Zidane on the left didnt work either.....imo it was shite tactics.

Maresca set for Prem
Enzo Maresca has been linked with a return to England. The 24-year-old midfielder spent two successful years in the First Division with West Bromwich. They would like him back but Spurs are also keen on the player.

**** off.
I'll toast to that :thumb:

Henry was crap just as Trez for almost all the games.
Against France and Croatia he was totally crap. against Switzerland he wasn't good though he did score two goals.
And against Greece he was awful too.

The irony being that it was perhaps his Euro 2000 performance that got him in a Juve jersey to begin with...
I think we had signed him before the Euro 2000 begun

I don't have his goal scoring record at hand to qoute, but I think it's very good at both club and international level - yet watching this cumbersome gangly streak of p*ss play, I wonder how he does it.
