And I got a different oppinion. IMO Riquelme is the best player in the world right now. The only reason I think he sucked in Barcelona is because of the kidnapshizzle. I mean, its not like he was the only star in Boca either.

Although I'm not saying Källström is bad, he's one of my favourite players and I'm sure he'd fit in just about any team.

Källström is good, but not Juve class. Yet. Riquelme on the other hand is not so fast with the ball, but he has technique, vision to see several steps before everyone else in his head, so he is several steps ahead of the others. He has good shot, passes, longballs, freekicks etc. He is just what we need in midfield. We lack someone like Riquelme. Källström is more a hardworker IMO. But he is good too, but not Juve-class yet. If you want Källström, then you would scream after Ljungberg. Imagine Ljungberg-Camo switch ;)

Come on, Riquelme masters exactly everything. He's fast enough and I'm sure he'd make it in Italy. I'm sure he'd make it in any league for that mather.

And David, Camo-Ljungberg. I kind of see em as pretty much the same players right now. Well, Camo might not be as fast as freddie nor work as much. But at the rate Camo is performing right now it would just be sad seeing him go. :(

Riquelme must have a free role to flourish, in which he is the main player of the team. Under Capello, Roman will not be able to have this sort of free role because it will make the team unbalanced. In Roma Totti was given a free role, however he had to back track all of the time and with his pace he was able to be successful. Riquelme lacks pace and defensive ability; not a good player for Juve considering our whole tactical framework is based on hard work, hustle, and defensive organziation.

In that case we can skip every playmaker. They all need freedom, more or less.
No, thats not it. We need a playmaker who can play defense and fit into our system, its just that Riquelme IMO does not have these qualities. He is no Zidane, and he is no Nedved.

You want a Baptista or a Davids kind of player? Fine by me. :undecide:

But still, with Emerson I think we can afford less defensive shizzle. + I think it would make it easier for the defense with an always-available player like Riquelme.

then Pizarro or Rosicky is the targets we should aim for. But I still think that Riquelme would do just fine in Juventus ;)

david if you know juve well .. can you tell me when was the last time

you saw an argentinian player play with juve ?

never

juve Big time is not intersting with players from 2 country (argentina-spain)

brazilian welcome colombian welcome euro players also are welcome.. but argentina & spain forget that,, that's Moggi's Policy.

so cut the crap guys about Riquelme. if he is doing Good in Via real that does not mean he is the 1 who can replace zidan and nedved.

No way to see him in Bianconero shirt

It's not that Riquelme can't play defense, it's just that if he did, he'd eb completely ineffective as a playmaker. He'd also be relatively ineffective if he were not the only attacking avenue for the team. In Juve, he's not going to be able to neglect his defensive resposibilities, and he's not going to be the only method of attack. Players like Kallstrom, Rosicky, or Pizzaro can be good playmakers while not being the centre of attention and still covering in defense...

Lets face it. To change our current style of play to become dependant in a creative playmaker-middfielder will only be possible if we find someone of high caliber....neither Riquelme,Aimar, Rosicky, pizarro or Kallstrom has the enough size to put a big team like Juve in their shoulders( probably deco or Ronaldinho)...just remember that our last playmaker was Zidane...

And, until someone right appears, i prefer to keep things as they are now...
