EXACTLY.
Totti was never linked to Juventus. Totti was never wanted by Juventus. Totti never considered a move to Juventus.
So, why does he make this statement? Because the little baby needed attention. The press was so busy paying attention to Cassano's possible transfer that Totti was jealous. He called a press conference to say "everybody look at me" and to throw his toys out of the pram.
But Totti does this once a month anyway:
June 2004 - I'll never Roma
July 2004 - I will leave Roma if they do not strengthen the team.
August 2004 - I am Roman, I could not play anywhere else.
September 2004 - The club lied to me, I want to test the market.
October 2004 - Why would I ever leave Roma?

I saw Totti in Scot vs. Italy. Made one or two good through balls but I really despised his dribbling.
He has no Tricks, his tricks are only meant to gain fouls when he dives, seriously I never saw him once really try to get by a player by doing a trick/dribble, he expects the foul and goes down easy as hell.

I agree with Edge, but what can be pointed out is that Totti's time to show something was in the last Euro and we all know what he did. This was not his only chance as he can still do it in the WC. I hope he behaves because he's essential.
As for Pirlo, he's the player that has no replacement actually adn I say both are essential in the team and both are key players in the squad.

Both definately are, and I know what you mean About Totti, I think he has talent and can perform, but his attitude and mentality is weak.
Thats why he goes down all the time instead of trying to fully optimize his abilities and actually keep playing. Many times in that game Totti could have probably gotten by the player but instead opted to go to the ground.
