Jose mari and mendieata are two classic examples of spainiards who rocked in la liga and royally flopped in serie a. Its kind of a un written myth, but spainiard have be known to almost always flop in serie a. I cant think of an example of a successfully spainiard in serie a.

Van persie is a bit of a nonstarter imho, he could be massive, but he just fails to consitanlty kick ass.

Robben, is merely the dutch equivalnt of cassano, thus in not really that interested in the annoying bastard.

But yeah its odd, but at least its not in the bloody cassano bum love thread.

To be fair he has done pretty well, when he was fit the boro fans worshiped him. BUt he doesnt seem to be able to stay fit.

Boro have consequently done really well this season, especially when he was fit.
